How about suspension of drivers license for a year and a thousand dollar fine?
Texting drivers kill. Every day I see some loser on the highway with an electronic device in their lap that they are paying more attention to than the road.

As much as the states have come down on alcohol and driving, I can’t help but think anybody caught using a hand-held device should immediately face a suspended license.
And there might be ten thousand people who reply -Oh, I can do it, never had a problem, blah blah blah..
It amounts to INTENTIONALLY not paying attention while you are driving.
