Great to read about Roy and his 360 mile ride. Glad you were able to address the dehydration he experienced. Make sure you tell him Thank You from all us FReepers.
Will be going to the Dr tomorrow to check on my spine issues and my Monday collapsing leg and the injuries I sustained. Sure wish I was a lot younger. Getting old seems to draw more injuries.
Guess I should be grateful that things were not alot worse. When I fell into the pool, I could see perfectly cuz I had my glasses on. My cell phone didn’t survive the accident however, my hearing aides and bluetooth managed to survive the ordeal.
I’m getting a signal from my cell phone but it appears there is still water in the cell phone. I’ve got it dehydrating in a bag of rice and I keep getting a message that I need to re-set my default options.

Take Notice
August 2, 2012
While standing in a checkout line, I was estimating my bill and trying to keep my son from wandering away. I barely noticed when the woman ahead of me shuffled toward the exit, leaving all of her items behind. The clerk confided that the woman didnt have enough money to pay her bill. I felt terrible; if only I had been aware of her situation earlier, I would have helped her.
In the book of Ruth, Boaz became aware of Ruths plight when he saw her gleaning in his fields (2:5). He learned that she was recently widowed and was the breadwinner for herself and her mother-in-law. Boaz saw her need for protection, and warned his harvesters to leave her alone (v.9). He supplied her with extra food by instructing his workers to let grain fall purposely (v.16). Boaz even addressed Ruths emotional needs by comforting her (vv.11-12). When Naomi heard about this, she said, Blessed be the one who took notice of you (v.19).
Are you aware of the needs of the people around youin your church, neighborhood, or under your own roof? Today, consider how you might help bear someones burden. Then you will be fulfilling Gods plan for you (Gal. 6:2; Eph. 2:10).
Help me Lord, to notice
The hurting, sick, and lost;
Guide me as I help them
Regardless of the cost. Schuldt
God works through us to meet the needs of those around us.

Happy Thursday To Amy's Place
It is always wise to stop wishing for things long enough

I use large clay saucers that one buys to go under a pot..They are the perfect height..not too deep and the birds and critters both like them..

AN IRISH BLESSING (Click)
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Thank you dear Kitty. I’ve been AWOL today, working all day. I sent you an e-mail with a link. Yes, I think Emma will be okay. She held up extremely well for an 8 yr old. She felt pretty bad today, but she is eating her popcicles. Her grandpa ask her over the phone if she was eating ice cream. She said, “yeah, but I want bacon.”

Are you series Dave? You really fell into the pool??!! That would never happen to me. I don’t go near the water, LOL. Gee, that sounds painful. Remember, as you age, watch every step you take and hold on to the rails. We may have to get you one of those medic alert necklaces. Get yourself straightened up and be careful. No more sliding into second base.

Yep, I’m series. My leg collapsed under me and as I was going down, I jammed my toes, banged up my knee and just rolled into the pool in serious pain. It’s improving slowly but I’m still using two canes to get around. I’ve had weakness in my right leg since 2008 when I re-injured my back and it gets a bit wobbly at times even without any added booze. ;)
