On GratiTuesday...I am grateful to God that I have a home, my doggies, my relatives, friends and FRiends, food to eat and insulin to keep me healthy. There are many days that the FRiends at Amy’s Place are my daily friends, and I thank you all for that. The world is a busy place and contact with offline friends can be infrequent. But you all never fail to be kind and caring no matter what.
((Hugs)) to all

I really can’t believe you are a great grama. When I saw the first pictures I thought they were grandsons. I can only hope to age so beautifully as you.
cheers

Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful, TCP. A lot of us probably feel the same way you do. I don’t have the doggie nor in need of insulin but I’m grateful for all that I do have. ESPECIALLY, FRiends! (Would take most of them over some of the relatives...lol!)

Capture The Moment
September 26, 2012
My wife, Martie, is a great shopper. When she shops for groceries, she reads all the nutrition labels and considers the best deal by looking at the price per unit. But her best trick is looking for the use by date. She doesnt just grab the first gallon of milk she sees, but rather she goes for the gallon with the latest use by date so she can bring home the freshest milk from the store.
In a sense, our lives are marked by use by datesexcept that none of us knows the exact date when our heart will expire or well take our last breath on this planet. Given that reality, shouldnt we try a little harder to capture the moments weve been given? Capturing the moment means that well do things like love more deeply, forgive more quickly, listen more carefully, and speak more affirmingly.
Paul gives this good advice: See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Eph. 5:15-16). He also instructs us to walk as children of light . . . finding out what is acceptable to the Lord (vv.8-10).
Since none of us knows our use by date, we should capture the opportunities to brighten our world with the love of Christ today!
Lord, grant me grace throughout this day
To walk the straight and narrow way,
To do whatever in Thy sight
Is good and perfect, just and right. Huisman
Live each day as if its your last.

“Paul gives this good advice: See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Eph. 5:15-16).”
************************************************************
“Redeeming the time ... this is a great gage for our actions, activities, ‘as wise are we redeeming the time’?
Life is filled with choices and decisions ... there is the same time for each of us, everyday, how to choose, what is important. Sorta like using and studying on the computer, or here on Free Republic ... we can not read all the articles/responses, and participate too. Are we intending to do the LORD'S work, or be of service the the Lord?
I tend to over complicate things too many choices, which can paralyze me in the decision making. Something to consider ... are we redeeming the time, wisely? God gives us our very breath, how is it many ignore and take life for granted? God can do everything, nothing is impossible for Him, so we imagine He needs no help. That is not what the Scriptures say.
Father God, how may I be of service today that It redeems the time ... as wise? We are to go and tell our brethren the good news of Christ Jesus, which gives us hope and a future with Thee. Amen

Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday!
I declared war on dust today in my bedroom. I even washed and dried the curtains. I vac’d under the bed, under the dressers, got the cobwebs, top of windows and doors, dusted every surface. That dirt never had a chance!
