Meet Hollys Half Dozen. These six Golden Retriever pups were born on June 24th and have already begun very important work helping to heal the invisible wounds of our Nations Combat Veterans. Recovering Service Members at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence in Bethesda, MD are engaged in the critical task of socializing the pups through puppy petting.
The litter of five girls and one boy will spend the next two years lifting the spirits of Wounded Warriors and giving them a therapeutic and purposeful mission. By volunteering to train the pups through the Warrior Canine Connection program, these Warriors will both address their symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress and prepare the pups for future lives as service dogs for their disabled comrades.
Tune into the Warrior Canine Connection whelping box over the next 8-10 weeks to feel the healing power of the human-puppy bond brought virtually to you by Dog Bless You.
It is also quite relaxing to view when you are stressed. Enjoy!
Thank you. Will have to check it out when things are a bit more lively.
Oooops it links to Brooks Falls and Brown Bears.
That link sends me to Alaska :) Could you check it?
way to screw it up
When I was a teen, our Dobie had 13 pups.
We had to feed them as she couldn’t do it all.
We stuck all 13 in Christmas stockings for a picture LOL
They were so funny.
Little wiggly worms LOL

I got bears here.
It’s really strange because the link is correct in the original post. If you hover your cursor over it shows up correctly, but click on it and it redirects to something else. I have no idea why.

When I first started watching the live cam the puppies nursed and slept. Some would consider it boring but I liked it a lot. A week later they nursed, moved around a little bit and slept. Now they are eating food, nursing a little bit, play-fighting and sleeping. Lately they’ve been taking them outside during the day and they have people come in to pet an play with them. Holly is a great mom. This is her third litter.
Now THAT is precious!!! Thank you!
They’re sleeping now. I want to put my face up to the monitor and yell “WAKE UP PUPPIES!!!!”
:)
BTW I count at least 5 bears fishing on the Brooks Falls cam! This is a great cam link! THANKS!
Awwww!
1am feeding
Thanks! My daughter and I had a great time watching the pups playing and nursing. Very much some stress relief and good for some family time. They’re adorable!
I’ve been watching for a couple weeks now and admit I will miss the little girls (and one guy) when they move on. For those on Facebook, they do have a Facebook page at Warrior Canine Connection. What a wonderful cause!
Pinging myself for later. I love this!!!!
