Sad. What an amazing life he’s led. May the Lord welcome him home with open arms.

He's a good man. Glenn Beck has had him on his radio show around Christmas for the last few years.
Godspeed, Andy. You were always one of my mom's favorite voices, and you'll be a part of every Christmas for me.

Andy is one of the great ones... one of the last of a fading breed.
God bless him and welcome him home whenever his time comes.

In my opinion, the Andy Williams Show and the Dean Martin Show were the best two shows of that type ever to be on Television. Both men were great personalities and loved by their audiences.

Just sad for me as well. Mom loved his music. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without her playing that album every holiday season.

My sister bought a block of tickets to see Andy Williams one year just before Christmas, under the premise that we were all, as a family, taking Momma to the concert. Turned out the concert was scheduled for the same time a major NFL playoff game was starting. Andy Williams came out to open the show with some Christmas songs and be brought along two very attractive “elves” to sing and dance alongside him.
When he paused after his opening few songs, he addressed all the men in the audience and apologized for the unfortunate timing of the concert and he thought he’d lessen the pain by bringing out the two lovely ladies so us guys might enjoy the show a little more. ;-) He also kept us updated on the score 2 or 3 times during the show. He was a class act.

The Moon River crooner, 84, is now at his Branson, Missouri, home surrounded by his wife, children and friends. If that wife is still Claudine Longet, don't leave any pistols around.
Prayers for Andy. Truthfully I didn't know he was still alive.

All the good ones are slowly but surely leaving us and there is no one to replace them. At least we have a video of several of his Christmas specials so my grandchildren can see the kinds of wonderful Christmas programs our generation enjoyed. Especially loved to hear him sing Ave Maria.

We all have to check out someday. Overall, I think I would like a little advanced warning so my loved ones could say anything they wanted to say.
So Mr. Williams, I am sad to see you go, but it’s good you are going on your own terms.

In his 1959 hit
Lonely Street, Andy Williams asks, "where's this place called Lonely Street?" I found a street that matches his description--Columbus Rd., which runs east of Columbus, NM and stops just short of the Rio Grande. One night when I was driving eastbound on the road through Doña Ana County, I saw no sign of human habitation for about 50 miles--and except for a couple of Border Patrol SUV's, I met no other oncoming vehicles.
