I pulled this magazine out of my mailbox on Saturday and couldn’t believe my eyes.
Cancel your subscription and tell them why.
So,,,,, the hard hitting critique is that mormons understand, and are successful, in business? thats more than i can say about Barky ,,,
I thought this was a joke, but it’s not.
First, the Jews, and now...
I’m wondering how long until us Southern Baptists?
It’s actually my son’s subscription and I think he got the subscription for free.
He’s out of town and hasn’t seen this issue yet.
This is pretty chicken scheise...
I have half a mind (only half) to subscribe and then cancel so I can tell them why...
AND I also look forward to their equally hard-hitting discussion of Scientology’s monetary exploits.
Maybe I will be waiting until Tom Cruise runs for president?
HAH! :-)
Wow...
Yep, it’s not a parody or a photoshop... It’s the real cover. I have the actual physical magazine.
I, too, am disturbed by a “business” publication going after, in rather brutal fashion, the religion of a candidate for President. (And I will not be voting for Romney, btw.) It’s a real head-shaker. I wonder if ‘Bloomberg Businessweek’ has ever done an in-depth, “exclusive” slam about, say, Islam? Or the Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church? Or Scientology?
I started to post and ask you if this was for real, then decided to go look for myself. Geez!
“Reverend Jeremiah Wrights church”
THAT’S the one I want to see!
This is a real shocker to me, but I guess it shouldn’t be, given the direction of all but the conservative media.
I must say, though, the libs must be pretty troubled to do such an outrageous thing.
I believe Mormon theology is incorrect, but gee whiz this looks more like an anti-religious screed than any kind of plausible criticism of Mitt’s business dealings, or how his religion might have influenced same.
Latter-day Lucre: How the Mormon Church Makes Its Billions
That said, that cover is disgraceful.
I’d like to say I’m surprised, but I’m not. I predicted long ago that one of the reasons the Democrats wanted Romney so badly is because they have stockpiled numerous stories like this, and are just waiting for the time to use them.
Attacking Mitt through the Mormon Church is an obvious play and they can be expected to use it to the hilt. And they will — as long as the attacks seem to be working. How the public reacts to this one, and I don’t mean how the Conservatives react, will indicate whether we can expect more of them.
This could backfire.
OTOH, it does show that Romney is going to have to get a lot nastier than he has been, because even if the Church line of attack fails, I am sure they have others. He’s going to have to hit back hard, now or he’s finished.

I am not religious in any way. I find non-PC jokes very funny. I also see a huge chasm between jokes, and downright attacks. As I said I do not follow any religion, but I take offense at blatant attacks on somebody else’s beliefs. I do not like it when I see my nephews do it to Christians on Facebook (of course their big beef is Christians don’t think you should boink like bunny rabbits then throw the inevitable “mistake” into the dumpster)...but this is orders of magnitude beyond the juvenile screeds from my young ignorant family members. I do not agree with Mormon doctrine, but I work with many and vacation with several, and have never met one since I was 9 years old that I did not like. I think this kind of villification happened once somewhere across the ocean in the early 30’s.
This isn’t about one denomination over another. Liberals hate Christianity in general. From their attacks to the Catholic Church during the Obamacare debate in the USSC to this cover. I suspect when a Southern Baptist runs for president, then we’ll see attacks on the Southern Baptist Convention.
The media is feeding off the public perceptions of the Mormon Church and it’s practices, it’s reach, and it’s wealth and they’re attacking Romney and Christians in the process.
