A month or so ago, I bought my first HDTV, a 47" Vizio LCD.
What are the best, safest ways to clean the screen?

BTW, this Vizio is boss. No setup required and the picture is perfect.
That too plus to add to sauces when you wind up spilling too much into it. Just hit the sauce with a couple of bursts from a spray bottle and it’s just enough to add that tang.
I use 50/50 white vinegar in a spray bottle. I don’t follow up with a damp finish of clean water because the vinegar/water combo does it all. All I do is follow with a dry micro-cloth in a light swirling buffing motion. You do not want to press down on the TV screen. Then too, I use it on floors, counter tops, and general cleaning. It’s amazing stuff. It also, in pure form, stops itching from insect bites.
Actually it’s quite easy. I do it all the time. And no, it’s not a joke.

On insect bites it works because it’s the opposite pH from the sting poison.
Rotary sander?
Do Rotarians do an especially good job of sanding?

I always carry a small spray bottle with me.
Don’t bother to clean it. Throw it away.
LCD TVs are so cheap now, that, when mine get dirty, I just go buy another one.
Contrary to what a couple others said, NEVER, EVER, use paper towels. They are wood based products and will scratch. Use a microfiber cloth or really soft cotton cloth.
0000000 x- fine steel wool makes for a very glossy finish. Use some mineral oil with it...

Please note an important detail about that brand of TV.
If your TV set Dies:
During the first year Vizio will send you a refurbished TV that someone else owned. That is their warranty.
After the first year then Vizio offers no Repair services for your Television. It will be junk. You have to buy another one.
Many name brands will still repair your TV after the warranty expires if you pay them the cost. Vizio will not.
