A cat spooked a television reporter when it jumped on the woman's back as she did a live shot in front of a camera for a local newscast. Nicole DiDonato, a morning reporter for Fox 17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, did a live report on Thursday about the day's happenings following the Fourth of July when a gray cat sneaked up from behind and jumped on the journalist's shoulder.
Ms DiDonato continued to finish her report before she broke out into laughter as the cat remained on her left shoulder the entire time.
Video at source. Cat episode starts at 1 minute 22 sec after a short ad.

Saw this on our local tv.
She actually was pretty cool about it, I think most folks would have jumped a foot.

One of my cats, Hu, does this constantly. Jumps up, and wraps herself across my shoulders. She sleeps there, but she mostly likes to ride around, and she really likes to watch me prep my meals! She’s a real lover!

The reporter should thank that kitty for making her internationally famous.

I’ve got a two month old kitten doing that right now!
I remember once when I was shoeing a spooky horse and a cat leaped from a rock wall on my back. Don’t know which was more shook up, me or the horse.

Actually I’m surprised that the reporter’s tight blouse top button held under the cat’s weight. The blouse looked pretty stressed for a few seconds there, and the story would have had a significantly different outcome had the cat managed to trigger a “wardrobe malfunction”...
