$10 million tax on every abortion
7-1-2012 | Myself

The Roberts decision has unknowingly given conservatives the tool to destroy the abortion industry.

Just impose a $10 million tax on every abortion provider for each abortion they perform. They will be forced to shut down in no time.

More likely a ten million dollar tax on ammunition is in the works

"More likely a ten million dollar tax on ammunition is in the works."

That is the plan. Ammunition will be called a "health risk", and health risks will carry a high tax rate as the government now pays for health care. Since the government will pay for health care, they will place mega taxes on anything that they deem a health care risk and anyone who engages in risky health activities. Guns and ammo will be taxed out of reach from everyone.

Tyranny is coming on the wings of obomacare.

Not meaning to sidetrack, but Roberts did not expand the tax authority of the gubmit, it already had unlimited ability to tax. What the decision did was put some limit on the worst of all Commerce Clause.

Roberts did not do the dems any favor in officially renaming their slick worded MANDATE a TAX.

It’s actually an interesting idea. Impose a tax, let the Supremes overturn the tax “because abortion is a constitutional right”, then turn around and, using the precedent just established, file a suit to overturn the various gun taxes.

For your information, we have a fund raiser going on presently, called a FReepathon. If you are new here, it would be greatly appreciated if you would contribute towards the cost of publishing your Noob vanity thread. I would recommend becoming a monthly donor. Five dollars per month is a good starting point. Thanks, and welcome to FreeRepublic.

For two years, I have tried to get traction on the idea that the Supreme Couty could not approve ObamaCare (unlimited government interference in your private health care and treatment choices), without overturning Roe v Wade (government must allow abortion because government has no power to interfere in your private health care and treatment choices). The conservatives who handled the legal challenge to ObamaCare of course did not want to frame their cases or make their arguments this way. But the current group of politicians doesn’t seem to care if they defy logic or square the circle (e.g., Obama still insisting its a penalty, not a tax, even though the SC just ruled that by this logic, the law would be unconstitutional). Their base does not consist of thinkers.

That type of taxation was always available as a tool and it has nothing to do with the Robert decision, noob.

Impeaching Roberts is unwarranted and unconstitutional. He has not engaged in "bad behavior," just authored a ruling you didn't like and you'd never get two-thirds of the Senate to go along with you for removal.
