We are miracles, living in the midst of miracles, and we barely notice it. The Atom, how our functions work, our entire system creates the exact secretions to digest our food, provide energy, the thyroid system the bile system turning our food into nutrients, the blood system, the circulation system, etc.. and so on. Simply amazing complex systems that we only partially understand how it works and how in often heals itself. Bones knit together, cuts close and heal. It is all miracle stuff and we take it for granted.
Let us grow in time spent reading the Word of God. It changes us bit by bit, just like all the other systems, it works whether we know how or not. HALLELUJAH!!! Amen!

Dear Lord, thank You for always being with us.
We ask that when troubles invariably come,
You would renew in us once again the blessed
peace of Your presence. Amen.
In the midst of troubles, peace can be found in Jesus.
AMEN!

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

Yes I am very proud because he thought of this and it’s not an easy thing to do. The first day was 60 miles. I’m not sure I could even stay on a bike much less ride it 60 miles. Today was supposed to be 80 miles and I haven’t heard from him yet. I sure hope he made it. It’s awful hot out there.

Planted In The House Of The Lord
July 23, 2012
After conducting a series of interviews with elderly people, author Don Gold published the book Until the Singing Stops: A Celebration of Life and Old Age in America.
Gold loved and admired his grandmother, and it was the memory of her that moved him to meet and learn from other elderly people. He recalls that on the way to one of his interviews, he got lost on a dusty country road in Missouri. When he pulled into a farm to ask for directions, a teenager came up, listened, shrugged his shoulders, and then replied, Dont know. So he drove on. A few miles farther down the road, he stopped again at a farmhouse. The farmer, who was an old man, graciously gave him flawless directions.
Perhaps, Gold mused, that experience sums up what he was searching for when the memory of his grandmother sent him out to find people like her. He was looking for someone to guide him in his life journey.
If youre young, seek out older people who have been drinking deeply from Gods love and goodness throughout their life. They have wisdom to share that will help you so that you also might flourish and grow in your faith (Ps. 92:12-14).
Dear Jesus, take my heart and hand,
And grant me this, I pray:
That I through Your sweet love may grow
More like You day by day. Garrison
Fellowship with Christ is the secret of fruitfulness for Him.

Even the uneducated have valuable life experiences to relate. Wisdom has come from the older members of society. Some cultures esteem the elderly and treat them with honor. It seems America is not as tuned in to this as Asian cultures and many others. We seem to be about the new, the latest, and the very latest version of Ipad, Iphone,. We fail to appreciate History, even recent History of 30 or 40 years ago. Not s good sign. When we grow older our self we will be wishing we had asked our elders about the past, and their early years.
Pray God opens our eyes to see the error of our ways while we can still genuinely assess our History. The Holy Bible is essentially a History Book of timeless truths... the very WORD of God.
