BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) - Lawyers for one of Jerry Sandusky's adopted sons said the man has told authorities the former Penn State assistant football coach abused him.
The lawyers issued a statement Thursday naming Matt Sandusky, one of Jerry Sandusky's six adopted children, and saying that the 33-year-old had been prepared to testify on behalf of prosecutors at his father's sex abuse trial.
"During the trial, Matt Sandusky contacted us and requested our advice and assistance in arranging a meeting with prosecutors to disclose for the first time in this case that he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky's abuse," Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici wrote in the statement. "At Matt's request, we immediately arranged a meeting between him and the prosecutors and investigators.
"This has been an extremely painful experience for Matt and he has asked us to convey his request that the media respect his privacy. There will be no further comment."
The statement was issued after jurors in the ex-coach's child sex abuse trial began deliberating 48 charges against him. The jurors are sequestered during deliberations.

I totally agree with that. And it is evil, so I believe a Christian should not promote or condone the lifestyle for others.

You are presuming that she wasn’t actively supportive (and protective) of her husband’s “activities” with children.

So this guy abused who knows how many children over so many years, apparently with witnesses at times yet nothing was done, no kids’ parents complained, no investigations, why ?
The answer seems to be that nothing matters when some stupid sport is to blame, especially if it’s raising lots of money for the College, rah rah.

One, the victims were from dysfunctional families. Sandusky chose them from the charity foundation that was supposedly helping them.
Two, it was witnessed in one case and reported to higher-ups at Penn St., not to parents. At least that’s the case we know about that was witnessed and testified to.
Three, the victims didn’t go around blabbing about it. To the contrary they didn’t want to reveal it, and it appears each one thought he was THE one Sandusky was abusing, not knowing many other were also being abused.
I recall reading that in a single instance, a kid did complain to his mother about Sandusky, but I don’t know exactly what he told her. But she did get upset and called the Sandusky home and Dottie answered and then told Jerry about it. He then went and apologized to the woman because her son was upset, but I don’t know what exactly he admitted to.
It seems like there was a letter of apology as well, either to the mother or the kid, can’t recall.
I’m wondering if they weren’t paid off.
They are replacing the philosophy of America-—our Rights come from God—with a Pagan government/constitution—Rights from pervert Barney Frank—arbitary, unjust laws which promote evil law and not Just Law. It is unconstitutional.
We have to stop the indoctrination and brainwashing which is normalizing in our children a dehumanizing, evil behavior and calling it a “God” given Right. So sickening and a return to pagan Greek practices where pederasty was normal.

This blanket statement is so misleading! This is true only as an aspect centering around the "religion." However, all of us sin, but that does not prevent us from accepting Jesus as Lord and becoming Christian. Just because you are Christian does not mean you will not still sin.
When I see this blanket statement you made I feel as though it needs clarification.
If you are pro-homosexual a "good" Christian you might not be, ignorance may come into play, but a Christ One you will always remain no matter how convoluted your thoughts.
Sandusky was in Matt’s life before he adopted him (the article you posted said he went to live with Sandusky at 15). Sandusky preyed on troubled boys. Matt was a prime target for Sandusky.

Matt was 11 when he met Sandusky through the second mile. After going to live with Sandusky, his troubles increased. He ran away and tried to kill himself. His mother suspected abuse and tried to get him removed from the Sandusky home.

You MISS my point. Christians have to recognize such degrading, debasing acts as being “sins”. If you rationalize such debasement as “Good”—you can never be a “Christian”. The Left want to make intergenerational sex legal again. It is the reason why they are normalizing sodomy in the classrooms as young a Kindergarten now. Christian is not synonymous with "sinless." Being ignorant of Christ precepts does not make people any less Christian, they are just ignorant and act upon a sinful nature. It's when you have NOT accepted Christ that sin separates you.
I'm just saying you are no less saved by grace if you think homosexuality is honorable than Peter, Paul or Matthew. However, the HS is going to have to deal with the consequence of sin and the church has every right to keep them out until they repent.

I see your point, but I say “bad” Christians are in Mortal sin and “separated” from God and will go to hell if they die in that state.
Saying “Bad” Christians are just the same as Christians in good-standing doesn’t make sense. Christians “knowingly doing evil acts” in such an abominable way—and yes, some sins are greater than others and acts of homosexuality are particularly grievous and disordered-—Those that are practicing in those evil acts are not practicing Christianity. As such—they are not practicing Christians. They are “CINO” which is like cafeteria Catholics-—the name doesn’t make them in a state of Grace and a member of the Body of Christ— if they reject the teachings and the practice as True. They should be excommunicated and by their very actions are separated from the Church. They should never be allowed communion until they repent which means they understand the evil of their sin. Then—I agree, they are like other Christians who will always sin, but understand their transgressions against God and always are sorry.
Practicing homosexuals are actively rejecting God and his commandments. Now, can they repent of their sin—absolutely, but they promise to try to sin no more—but if they do not even know sodomy acts are evil and disordered-—then, I would say they have no concept of Christianity—and can never be a practicing Christian.
