Excerpt....In all the talk about David Maraniss’ new book, “Barack Obama: The Story,” the chattering classes seem to have overlooked the most significant of Maraniss’ revelations, namely that the story on which Obama based his 2008 candidacy is “received myth, not the truth.”
“My parents shared not only an improbable love,” said Obama famously in his 2004 Democratic Convention keynote, “they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation.” This concept of multicultural romance shaped his persona and his campaigns.
At the 2008 Democratic Convention in Denver, Obama leaped into the story in the very first sentence. “Four years ago,” he began, “I stood before you and told you my story – of the brief union between a young man from Kenya and a young woman from Kansas who weren’t well-off or well-known, but shared a belief that in America, their son could achieve whatever he put his mind to.”
As Maraniss concedes, these two young people shared very close to nothing. “In the college life of Barack Obama in 1961 and 1962,” writes Maraniss, “as recounted by his friends and acquaintances in Honolulu, there was no Ann; there was no baby.”
Although Maraniss talked to many of Obama Sr.’s friends, none of the credible ones ever so much as saw him with Obama’s ........

I’ve done genealogy for years, too, and sometimes the “h” means homeowner and the “r” means renter. It depends upon the system used by the publisher or creator of the records. Sometimes, “r” means rear.

It's 448 sq ft and 14 x 32. On google maps, look at the regular neighborhood view to see the layout of the property including the rental cabin on the back of the property. Then go to street view. You have to travel up to the driveway at the next door neighbor's white house and then look back to see a window and a tiny portion of the rental.
I didn’t say that, I POSTED A COMMENT FROM A FREEPER DATED 2008 - and I have no doubt there is a rental unit there now, we call them bungalows where I am, but was there anything like it there when the Lefforge bought the house in 1958 or when the Pratts and the Dunhams lived there?
I think not, the description supplied by the freeper who contributed that comment clearly states there was an UNCEILINGED shed of some kind, a porch and an unattached garage.

This is to follow up on my linked info to the Honolulu County Tax Assessor for the Lefforge 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy where the birth announcement said little Barry lived.
The Honolulu County tax assessor site states on the second page of the “residential” tab shows what I’m assuming to be the little currently painted yellow house/shed/playhouse/whatever behind the big house to be a 448 sq ft single story one family residence with 1 bedroom and 1 bath which was built in 1953. On the second page of the “sketch” tab, it shows the unit is 14 ft X 32 ft.
IOW, according to the online tax assessor’s current records, the little building was there when little Barry was supposedly born. Take this information as you wish.
Which shouldn't surpise anyone. It's Hawaii.

Guess you’ll have to go the long way around. Delete everything after the .com so you start on the home page. Then you’ll have to get to the property search and type in the address and go from there.

That’s indeed strange. Do you get the same notice if you go to other counties or states?

One aspect of Obama I’ve found revealing was his slip referencing all “57” states in the US.
Supposedly raised and educated in Hawaii and born there within a couple of years of statehood as the 50th State, I don’t know of any Hawaiian not cognizant of 50 states in the US, let alone anybody with political ambitions as a “community organizer” and past association in a legal profession.

there are two choices beneath the heading, one gets me the security notice, the other gets me nowhere. I wouldn’t know how to get to any other ‘counties or States’ - I have limited my results to reports from freepers placed in comments. Please keep in mind, although we speak the same language, your terms of reference are entirely different. If you can’t provide a link that gets me to the information directly, or cut and paste the result you see, I think I’ll just forget about it.
I don’t trust anything that comes out of that State anyway. They’ve had time to rearrange their records, in 2008 there was no mention of a habitable small dwelling there, just something that sounded like a shed without a ceiling, according to the report by freeper Spunky.
