CedarDave, some time back Jim Rob asked that people put the dimensions in so it will load faster. When you click on properties it will show the URL and the dimensions. The first number is the width the second is the height.
So this is how it should be.
< img width=635 src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e68/Karma29/patriots/coastguard.jpg"height=433 >
Now mindbender26 when you close the gap between < img and at the end > you get this.

In Firefox I put my width (or height) at the end of the URL after the " " and it works just fine to reduce the size of a picture and keep it in proportion; as far as loading goes, a smaller size certainly will help:
<img src="http://www.gii.in/wallpapers/data/media/524/Catherine-Zeta-Jones-25.JPG" width=500>
Dimensions: 1,024px × 768px (scaled to 500px × 375px)
