Pink Floyd’s The Wall
Fast Times and Ridgemont High
Pretty crappy list.
Blade Runner and ET are the only ones worth watching.
Wow, that was quite a year. The Road Warrior, Bladerunner, and Tron are my three faves from the list.
Xer Ping
Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

Tron????????????? You betcha it is right up there with the greats....geez?
Me either. Since I heard Speilberg "improved" it, it's unlikely that I ever will bother.
>>Tron??<<
Tron actually sucked. We just have fond memories of it since it was such a different movie for its day.
I don’t seen classic in this list. Conan the Barberian, World according to Garp. Come on man.
Three of my faves period. And the new Tron was even good. Road warrior? Classic. Blade Runner? What more need be said.
Where’s Porky’s?
>>I dont seen classic in this list. Conan the Barberian, World according to Garp. Come on man.<<
Blade Runner really holds up. I just watched it the other day and was re-amazed at how excellently it was made.
“feed the tuna mayonnaise” - one of these movies - bad movie, great line, famous actor.
***ET. Since I heard Speilberg “improved” it, it’s unlikely that I ever will bother. ***
It is just a feel good kid show in which guns have digitally been removed and replaced with radios. The movie is a good lead in for Speilberg’s WAR OF THE WORLDS or ET Returns.
LOL! The last time I went to the movies to see a movie was to see E.T. It was the easiest way I could think of to entertain my then boyfriend's 10 year old son while the BF was at work!
I also agree with you about Garp!
Bladerunner and Road Warrior for me.
We have fond memories of Tron ‘because’ it was so different. And it holds up very well. The visuals were groundbreaking and the story had a massive conceptual impact on the way computers developed. The soundtrack by Wendy Carlos is a historical achievement in the world of synth music.
No, it’s not “Gone with the Wind” but as a sci fi flickit’s among the greats. A classic in every sense of the word.
