Did aliens create the human race? If so, does that negate the existence of God? Or, did God create the aliens? Despite the advancement of science and technology, Marshall-Green believes that humans will always have faith -- even if its one day proven that aliens were our creators, not God.
I absolutely think that religion will always be a part of humanity, because it was one of the first inventions of man, he said.

The Obamaniacs, that’s who.
“When a man stops believing in God he doesn’t believe in nothing, he believes in anything.” — GK Chesterton
I get soooooo tired of the whole ‘intelligent alien life’ meme. HOW do we know there is ‘intelligent life’ to begin with?
Bingo there are depictions of aliens in ancient times right there in the bible and on mid evil paintings. Read the Summerian Texts. The old testament. God is creator of everything. Be it Aliens from another world or Humans genetically made by the Annunaki and the Annunaki got their technology from God. IMHO So there can be both Aliens and humans. Just my thoughts. FLAME AWAY!
“And if - as some alien theorists believe - the pyramids were was created by an interdimensional race of aliens as a kind of warehouse for storing delicious M&M candies, is it not entirely possible that most aliens prefer the blue ones?”
Didn’t Jesus said he had other flock to go to or something to that affect??
Our Creator is no more a part of this universe{s) than a programmer is part of the object code running on a computer.
I can imagine the future where programmers will created a computer-based universe and not code the characters but instead let them evolve "naturally".
I lean more in the direction that aliens may be more demonic in nature, especially when Satan is considered “master of the air” or something like that, and then the whole probing thing, that’s kind of “evil” if you ask me. ;)
Why do you say that? There is evidence all over. The summerians the bible talks about the Nephelin. Read the Epic of Creation by the summerians. Pretty interesting stuff. All the bible was taken from the ancient Summerian Text. Reinterpreted to the language that the hebrews could read. So things were written differently. Open your mind. And the truth will set you free. PS I am a Christian who believes in Christ the Savior, but I think the Old Testament was misinterpreted or changed by the churches over the centuries to fit their narrarative.
In the final book of the “Odyssey” series (3001) the aliens were highly advanced, no longer needing physical form. The monoliths were their only physical contact with normal space. They were “elder glactic inhabitants” which cataloged, studied, enhanced and judged which species were “acceptable” for further development.
From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3001:_The_Final_Odyssey
The book begins with a brief prologue describing the aliens who created the Monoliths. They apparently evolved from “warm slime”, and over the course of millions of years, turned into a space-faring species. As they explored the galaxy, they saw that few intelligent species ever successfully evolved. Therefore, they travelled the universe and catalyzed the evolution of intelligent species wherever they went, including Earth, by increasing the evolving species’ odds of survival. Upon reaching Earth, they performed experiments on many species to encourage the development of intelligence. Then they left, leaving the monoliths behind. After visiting Earth, the aliens continued to evolve, to the point where they eventually found a way to integrate themselves into the fabric of space, and became non-corporeal beings. Meanwhile, back in the Solar system, the Monoliths continued to watch over humanity. However, the Monoliths were capable of degenerating and acting independently of their original programming.
I have heard that there are hidden references to the illuminati in this movie...
Right when the first message from the aliens is received, "Send More Chuck Berry."
It doesn't but it does beg the question: if God created all life in the universe why his preoccupation with Mankind? Could it be because Man and the animals are the only life that exist?
There are more galaxies in our universe than all the grains of sand on earth combined. Each one of those galaxies holds billions of stars, most of which have planetary systems.
If you do the math, the number of planets that could potentially hold life of some kind, is a number that is too large to easily comprehend. Even allowing for the fact that perhaps only a small percentage possess conditions which are conducive to human life, the number is still staggeringly huge.
There really isn't a question as to whether there's life elsewhere in the universe. The only question is, where else it's located. The numbers say that it's everywhere.
