I'm not sure its right though. Definitely get some other opinions.
Google translated it as this, which isn’t much help.
“Ruslan did not want to give my passport, power of attorney, I have to say it can not find her to fill in please ask my mother what she would have found somewhere that I have power of attorney can not find it.”
Drink Your Ovaltine.
I should have said we did a few online trabslation programs and get a similar translation. It just does not make any sense. Someone who speaks Russian would be a big help. Thanks.
Here’s what Google translate says:
Ruslan did not want to give my passport, power of attorney, I have to say it can not find her to fill in please ask my mother what she would have found somewhere that I have power of attorney can not find it.
“Moose and squirrel must die!”
...ALL...YOUR...PASSPORT...ARE...BELONG...TO...US...
She is 20 years old and had her passport to begin with. She is in Belarus. The passport has been approved for the visa as far as we know and traveled back from Moscow through Pony Express. This power of attorney thing we just do not understand nor do I understand how I can help her. We wopn;t be able to Skpe until the weekend.
..whatever ya do don’t send money
Any idea who Ruslan is? What I posted was per bing, now I’m doing it myself but its slow going.
Ruslan is her brother who works in Moscow did the drop off of her passport and pickup through Pony Express in Russia. Belarus does not have Pony Express which is the service the embassy uses for document travel. If there is not a Russian speaking Freeper arouns I will try the embassy number in new York tomorrow morning, Im’ just not sure what to ask them. She is 20 and considered an adult in Belarus. Thanks for all who tried to help. We were prepared to book the flight tomorrow and will just have to wait until we figure out what she is saying.
The phrase power of attorney appears to be in quotes, so maybe she doesn’t understand either.
OK!! That makes sense. It is possible her brother cannot pick it up without her authorization. So it could be a Pony Express thing. THANK YOU! I told my daughter there must be Freeper out there. Love you Freepers!
Does this make sense? Was she or you working with an attorney on the paperwork?
Can’t get the passport back because a form is not completed. Don’t know how to contact the attorney that helped earlier with the forms. Do you know who that attorney is and how to contact?
I believe thats right. I think that in Russia you can issue power of attorney to others for I.D.s, passports and such. According to the Russian Consul "Consul shall prove the identity of the trustee the person issuing the Power of Attorney on the basis of the submitted documents." And the message seems to indicate she is having trouble with the power of attorney documents.
LOL!
