In one of Eddie Izzard's shows (he's a *great* British comedian) he was making fun of the British Royal family and,in commenting on their lack of intelligence,he said "it's not a good idea for cousins to marry because when they do the IQ goes right down the toilet".

Wise words,I'd say.

Where one man has three wives, two have no wife. Being married is what stabilizes a young ma and makes him a more productive member of society.

The excess males are doomed to being queers and cannon fodder, if history and biology are any indications.

But, what is mere history and science against the wisdom of the polygs?

I’ve had fantasies about twins, but they didn’t involve marrying them....

As long as nobody is on any government aid I don’t care how these adults choose to order their lives. Neither should anyone else.

> We hope that by talking about our way of life, polygamy will step closer to being an accepted lifestyle and the laws that criminalise it might change,' said Joe.

And THERE is the money quote, FRiends. Not enough that they're living illegally, they want the rest of us to ACCEPT IT and LEGALIZE IT.

What are the odds these folks are Romney fans???

"One famous Mormon is U.S. presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, whose father George W. Romney was born in 1907 in a settlement in Mexico that had been founded in the 1880s by Mormons fleeing American anti-polygamy laws. The last polygamist in Romney’s direct ancestry was his great-grandfather Miles Park Romney, who had three wives."
Pretty good, I'd say.

Three wives? That ought to be punishment enough... LOL

Point of order, they are not married to the same man.

They are pretending to be. Only one of them legally is, though.

The rest are just concubines with no civil, legal, or moral protections.

Note to Joe: Stay away from raw clams and oysters.

From the Republican platform of 1856:

“That the Constitution confers upon Congress sovereign powers over the Territories of the United States for their government; and that in the exercise of this power, it is both the right and the imperative duty of Congress to prohibit in the Territories those twin relics of barbarism — Polygamy, and Slavery.”

Our forefathers were wise to be against this rubbish.

They each have their own bedroom, and Joe alternates between the three rooms each evening.

Say what you will, the guy has some impressive stamina!

From the earlier pictures to the current BALD pictures, it seems that Joe must’a been banging his head against the bed’s headboard an awful lot, in his rounds amongst three bedrooms every night.

With three wives, there’s only one week a month that none of them are PMS, and with a few dozen screaming children in the house, how does one get enough sanity to get enough sleep after his rounds to go to work to make enough money to support the brood?

And to support the school bus needed to take them to the movies or Buffet One??

Given the LDS practice of keeping a year’s food in the house. . .

. . . does that make them Two Girls, one Cup-board ???

(I am **sooooo** going to hell for that quip. . .)

But seriously, with 24 kids. . .can you IMAGINE the grocery bills ???

As Joe is working on one wife, I wonder whether the others are “helping out”??

Might be kind’a cool!
