FLORA, Ind. (WLFI) 12-year-old Cody Green has always admired the strength and courage of the marines. At 12:35 Saturday afternoon, it was the Marines admiring the strength and courage of Cody.
Cody had leukemia since he was 22 months old, but beat the disease three times. Although he was cancer-free, the chemotherapy lowered his immune system and Saturday afternoon, he died from a fungus that attacked his brain. Members of the Marines decided to step in and do something.
They decided Cody, with the strength and honor and courage he showed through the whole thing, he should be a Marine, said Codys father David Snowberger.

I have the highest respect for the Army Airborne. They were and still are a brave bunch of warriors. Your father and his brothers and cousins served with dignity and humility. May God bless them.
They were a good crew, my old man and my uncles, good Lord they were 55 feet tall to me. All gone now, but for memory. Good folks, that whole generation. And man, could they drink!!! Holy cow....
Good Americans...they loved the country, loved the people, loved and lived the ideal. Came home, picked up their lives and lived them for as long God gave them to do so, and played the cards that were dealt them without complaint.
We need more of that, now. More than ever.
This story reminds me of that...and why it’s important to never, EVER, give in and give it up.
Quite possibly the single most applicable saying ever uttered...
Reagan was an amazing American. Dearly missed.
Your a true patriot. I will fight with every breath I have for a warrior like you. And you are right....NEVER GIVE UP.
When I die and go to Heaven to Saint Peter I will tell; one more Marine reporting Sir, I’ve served my time in hell.
SEMPER FIDELIS Cody. Proud to have you aboard, even though the time was to short.
Prayers for Cody and the family.
So do I, brother.
I concur,, and we still gotta love’m!!!!
Semper Fi Cody Green

When words fail, all I can think to do for this brave Marine is give a heartfelt
HOO RAH!!!!
Yeah, that sorta sums it all up in one succinct, distinctive, and declarative expression, doesn’t it...?
Tough kid. He fought hard.
