Or it could be one of those really awful coincidences.... your description is one of early onset diabetes. Does anyone in his family (uncle, cousin, grandparent, sibling, or parent) have diabetes?

Never heard of different boy and girl vaccines, at all. Viruses don’t care which sex you are.
And there is only one dosing protocol and one form of Gardasil. http://www.merck.com/product/usa/pi_circulars/g/gardasil/gardasil_pi.pdf
Someone got the story very mixed up.
As to this boy, it sounds as though he has juvenile onset diabetes.
This would be hard to prove, I think. Early onset- or type 1 diabetes commonly strikes about this age. As a school nurse, I would say that it doesn’t seem to be related, but his family should talk with the doctor.
Well don’t mention this if you are running for office or conservatives even here at FR will crucify you (Search: “Michelle Bachmann”).
But I have a neighbor girl who within 2 days of getting the shot is just slightly above what appears to be a vegetative state for the last 2 years.
The stats on the test subjects are at the Merck site. Out of almost 30,000 individuals (girls and women) given Gardasil two came down with diabetes insulin depend type. This was the same number as the number of individuals that came down with diabetes insulin dependent type in the control group.
This is what is often called statistically insignificant and non-causal.
While it maybe that this is what ‘caused’ the failure of this young man’s pancreatic failure it will be a tough haul to actually prove it.
Am I missing something here or just being an old fuddy-duddy??
It’s called Type 1 Diabetes, or juvenile diabetes.
It does not sound like he has complete pancreatic failure. The pancreas also puts out enzymes that the stomach has to have to process food.
I know. Let’s stop pumping behavior-problem-drugs into our kids and get back to spending time with them.
Lawyer Central Network, LLC apparently owns classaction.org which has a page on Gardasil which includes a link to a case review form:
http://www.classaction.org/gardasil.html
classaction.org reports on this page that several lawsuits have been filed.
Here is a link to report at FDA website dated March 13, 2012.
Apparently the typical pharmaceutical lawsuit cycle is just getting started for this product.
Of course, I am not making any representations about classaction.org or it’s owners or affiliates.
I ain’t a lawyer !
I just found those links, thought you might find them useful.
Oh, the pdf file, remember, when you open the pdf file you can search in it. If you search for the word diabetes you’ll find the counts for it; pancreatitis is right above it in the list.
God bless.
I really doubt that he had total pancreatic failure. If he did he would be required to take all kinds of supplements to help him digest fats and other foods. He would also be so sick he would reqiire hospitalization. I know this firsthand as I was hospitalized with pancreatitis for 5 months last year and was placed on a ventilator for two weeks. The pancreas also has specific cells in it that secrete insulin, They are called schwan cells. The death of these cells cause insulin dependant diabetes. I’m an RN and the hot topic lately is that this is caused by an autoimmune response where your body attacks these schwan cells and therefore there is no insulin production. I have not heard about any gardasil problems with the pancreas. If a problem showed up it would most likley be with the liver as it is the body’s most important organ and cleanses the body of all its poisions that it produces just by living. My prayers are with this young boy and I wish him well. There is also alot of hope with stem cell injections to produce new schwan cells that this family should look into. God Bless
2. Noticed some report a few days ago about young people getting type II diabetes and not responding to treatment.
Wow, wonder what went wrong here? /S
Prayers for the kid and his family.
A lot of girls have life long problems from Gardasil, and some are dead.
Do. Not. Vaccinate. Your kids with this.
But you seem to be describing type I diabetes which is thought to be an autoimmune reaction to a virus.
This British study shows no increase in the rate of type I diabetes or other autoimmune problems link
the vaccine is a good one, especially since we docs have seen an epidemic of promiscuity associated cervical cancer since I started medicine in the 1960's...alas, even if your daughter is a virgin there is no guarantee she will marry a virgin, and of course date rape is too commmon...which is why Focus on the Family recommends it for girls.
Boys getting a girls' dose shouldn't be a problem...
there is a lot of vaccine hysteria out there, mostly by folks who aren't old enough to remember what the actual diseases looked like. It seems to be more similar to the "witch hysteria" of the 1500's or the anti communist hysteria of the 1920's; a real problem but blown way out of proportion to the extent that the hysteria damage is much worse than the worry itself.
I've worked in Africa and we saw all of them, which is why I'm pro vaccine.
Juvie diabetes is thought to be caused by viruses.
What is dumb is paying big bucks for something that MAY prevent a disease but the individual will never know that it worked.
Thanks for the great replies and links everyone. I’m going to ask him for his email and send him the link to this page. GREAT info, and also very WORRYING info.
