Are Hannity, Rush, and the big talkers playing us for $$$? (vanity)

Posted on 05/01/2012 8:41:51 PM PDT by teg_76

Do you ever get the feeling that Rush and Hannity don't really care who wins, just as long as their dollars keep rolling in from us tea party saps. Besides Mark Levin, what prominent talker has gone out on a limb and endorsed true conservative candidates? Everyday we have to here Hannity interview the John McCains of the world. If he truly believed in the conservative movement, wouldn't he be out there trumpeting Richard Mourdock and Don Stenberg like Levin is?

As for Rush, he is more interested in commercializing the tea party movement with his "Two if by tea" than promoting it.

Besides Mark Levin, they're all sellouts just like the Republican leadership...looking out for their own career over the well being of the country.

Eric Cantor with his support of Richard Lugar and Adam Kinzinger in their primaries is consolidating moderate, establishment support behind his ambition to be speaker some day. But Hannity is more interested in a softball interview with him than evicerating him for his actions.

There are very few leaders in our movement.

Rush and Levin are the only ones I listen to. Occasionally Beck...tho I’m growing tired of the ‘spectacular revelations’ he has (i.e. the Buffett connection to the pipeline deal. FReepers knew about that MONTHS ago!!!)

Hannity drives me nuts and I turn his show OFF as of late. He’s a toadie for the RNC....panders to the establishment with this “can’t we all just get along” attitude.

Particularly pissed about his lecturing to us about Breitbart’s death and that HE knew about Andrew’s heart condition and that we should lay off about the autopsy.

Most annoying with him is his pandering for the ‘black vote’ with the guests and callers he has on. It’s like....”well I know you’re going to vote for Obama......but can I sway you and your kids by sending you a beautiful arrangement of flowers from Pre-Flora and toys for the kids?” It’s disgusting. I’m sorry, No different from what the Democraps promise them. And that’s my damned opinion. So, there.

Rush is the very best he can be. Your comment betrays a smallness of character. Rush speaks honestly but he does not seek to be telling people what to do, but rather how to think conservatively. Your petty comment is a greater indication of what is wrong. What are you doing to help conservatives? Besides bitching and moaning.

Foolish post

Hannity came close as he could to endorsing Cain, and had he or any of them endorsed anyone, every other candidate could have demanded equal time.

Foolish

“It’s so easy to turn on virtually any news broadcast(cable or network) and see that they are attempting to manipulate people.”

I’ve noticed that too, regardless of the personalities or the agenda, propaganda seems more . . . crass? obvious? ineffective? I wonder if it is because it takes less effort, or because there is just such a saturation of propaganda that it is less effective, and indeed counterproductive. I am not aiming this at radio or any particular personalities, just ‘news media’ in all forms and at all levels.

It's not Hannity's, Rush's, Levin's or any other talk show host to elect the President, Governor, Mayor, Senator, Congressman, City Councilman or Dog Catcher.

That's your job.

They provide information, entertainment and motivation. And deserve their hefty compensation for their talent regardless of whether or not their views are genuine.

I bet you enjoy falling asleep to a Hannity podcast of one of his numerous McCain interviews.

It's a business. You are surprised?

Levin is far from perfect.
He convinced many (suckers) in his audience that Palin was really running which was obviously not the case even at that time, and then he was rewarded with that exclusive interview by her well over a month afterward to admit it was not so, that she was not going to run.
Notice he asked her no real questions about all the things she did that ‘looked’ like she was running. That is why she picked him, a free ride.

On the positive for him, Levin's podcasts are free, The others demand $$$.

He is ABBBO now isn;t he?

Well, overall talk radio and Fox News has done better while Obama has been in office. It's just the way it is. "He'll sell more papers."

Exactly...it is my job. Which I did in 2010 and will do in 2012.

I’m just not a sap that hangs on their every word like some around here.

I listen to Rush every day. He has never connected his Two If By Tea to the tea party movement. Damn good tea, by the way.

Rush is the best! I have listened to him since the beginning. He is playing straight with his audience. My other favorite is Michael Berry, the rest are not on my wavelength.

President Obama is either 1. destroying the USA on purpose, or 2. intellectually >unqualified to be President of the USA.

Let’s worry about sending Obama&cronies back home in 2012.

Rush Limbo repeatedly states the defeat of >Democrats, liberals & the enemies of the USA should be the main concern of ALL Americans.

Would you explain a little bit more about Rush bolting? It’s been a good 2-3 weeks or more since I listened to his show. Is he talking about leaving the U.S.? I’d love to know when he discussed this.

One of my heroes is Gov. Scott Walker. A man of such courage but he doesn’t have a radio show. I have found YOU have to research and re-research your own information and not depend on talk shows for everything.
