The president’s bird is trained to collect snacks for the WH dinner.
They all thought it was Wagyu!

Anyone who would leave their tiny Chihuahuas UNATTENDED OUTSIDE is NOT an animal lover. Any dog that looks conquerable to a raptor requires supervision outside. Just because a pet is too big to be carried away, doesn’t mean that a raptor won’t attack it and get what it can before it flies away.

Had a neighbor who raised Yorkies. One evening a giant owl swooped one right off the porch as we were chatting and having a beer. It all happened in an instant. Unfortunately the yelping yorkie remained quite vocal for what seemed an eternity as it was carried off into the evening sky.
The neighbor and his wife were devistated.

We have bald eagles nesting near our house, and occasionally an owl. I never let my 2 yr old cavalier king charles spaniel out alone. 15 lbs of furry snack. Not to mention, apparently people are stealing purebred dogs from yards in broad daylight in our area (or the eagles are snacking)

I work in the mountains just a couple of miles from where she lives, and often see huge hawks and even larger owls - both of which frequently grab rabbits, squirrels, and other small rodents for dinner. A tiny ‘Chi’ - a kitten, or any baby-dog outside during the day - is a prime target for large raptors.

What’s the difference between Obama and a Hawk??
Well they both like to eat dogs, the difference is the hawk is cool and Obama is a fag.

I've never seen that, but I've seen redtails take out wabbits and squirrels in the median of expressways before. I've heard an owl take out a critter of some sort in my front yard. It screamed like it was dying. Woke me up at about 2AM. I then heard the owl "hooooooo." I looked outside and saw nothing. It was gone.
We all know about the coyotes these days, but everyone forgets about the birds. Hawks and eagles are often scavengers, but I have no doubts they'll go after a small dog if its available to them. They aren't picky.

Sad Story!!
When my shih-tzu was a pup, my husband warned me about hawks swooping into our back yard to carry him off — I thought he was joking!! Now, I’m glad I kept an eye on my pup at all time — hawks swoop into our pomegranate trees to grab tree rats all the time.

Last year a hawk dropped a dove on the lower part of our gambrel roof sounding much like a tree striking on the house. We don’t let our cat outside.

I watched a Red Tailed Hawk come down in my back yard and pick up a squirrel off the ground the same as it did to these dogs. The squirrels wiggled and squirmed and at about 20 feet off the ground it managed to get free. It fell to the ground, appeared stunned and then crawled off. The bird did not come back for it.
