Keith Olbermann released the following statement on his termination from Current TV:
I'd like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.
Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I've been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.
It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current's statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatts values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty, I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employees name was Clarence B. Cain.
In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it.
OHHHH!!!!!
Discloseure is SOOOOO gonna be fun. Imagine ALGore’s green business practices laid out for all to see ;)
I hope he gets this resolved in his favor and he gets back on cable. Both of his viewers are gonna miss him.
LOL how sad it is for Keith Overbite that even Al Gore has his standards LOL
It would be almost worth it to get him on a program to watch the lies coming from both sides in the up and coming cat fight.
But then, who the hell would watch it? That and, one would have to wear the best rubber suit to help dodge the dung being chucked back and forth.
And to think great young brave men and women have died in battle so these type SOBs can breed.
Like Muzzies and Holder’s People.
Leave ‘em to themselves and they will pick each other off one by one.
Meow. Cat fight.
Keith, nobody watches CURRENT TV. No watchers, no income. Al gores climate fund income is cooling down. $50,000,000 is alot to pay for empty seats. In other words. Two losers can never make a winner.
By his firing from Current it shows that he's even too Moonbat Nutz for the other raving lunatics at Current, like Moonbat #1 - Al Gore, and that's saying a lot.
As to his next job he better look at a smaller market. Like Podunck Nowhere, USA and call High School Football Games for the local 50 Watt radio station.
Anyone remember Joel Hyatt and his TV ads?
Joel married well, marring the daughter of Howard Metzenbaum, Ohio Senator replaced by John Glenn.
Just another libtard, ambulance chaser!
Why the hell Current would pay him 50 million for 5 years is a complete mystery. Did they really think he would generate that much in ad revenue?
BTW, I had no idea that idiot Joel Hyatt was behind the Current TV venture. Hope he loses his ass on his "investment". That guy used to plague the airways back in the 80s with his ceaseless ambulance chasing TV ads.
This is going to have a huge ratings impact on Current. I bet they will lose 40% of their viewership. If I were Gore, I wouldn’t take the remaining 1/2 dozen viewers for granted, either!
“GETTING FIRED BY CURRENT TV IS LIKE GETTING CUT BY THE 62 METS”......
BAHHAAHAHAHahaH...
That might be the funniest thing I’ve read all day...
RLTW.
Egad, Olberbaby bounced from another network??!!! How can that be? I mean Keith is so personable and easy to get along with. (smirk)
Always fun to watch lying leftists face off in a circular firing squad.
May they all win. : -)
Didnt he work once for one of the Networks and was let go from there also ?
***
I think it was Sunday night football on NBC. I believe he was still with MSNBC during the week.
