We have been receiving some—disturbing—news about transition units.
If any one here knows of someone or who has themselves, been through a transition unit we would like to hear of your experience.

My son is a Marine injured in Afghanistan last April, and is currently in the Wounded Warrior Regiment Transition Unit. I think they really look out for our guys and am eternally grateful to them for the part they have played in all our lives since he was hurt.

What kind of disturbing news are you hearing?
To: kevslisababy
I am very glad to hear that. And please pass on my thanks to your son.
Funny thing. Or maybe not. No complaints have been received from Marine Transition Units.
Wonder why?

Humm
We would rather not be specific and taint any information that may come in.
However lets just say that some suggest that their treatment was not “up to par.”

The liaisons tell me that they help out the guys in the other branches when/if they can, because only the Marines are set up to take care of the troops like that, and they sort of feel sorry for them.

That doesn’t surprise me to hear of Marines helping out. Do you know what makes their system so good?

I’m sorry I can’t be more specific. It’s a number of things.

I’m not sure, since I have nothing to compare it to. This one is at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.
