polarizing? No bias on ESPNs part there huh?
It will be fun watching Tebow get chased around by Mario Williams, now on the Bills
Go Bills!
For a 4th round draft pick?
What were the broncos thinking? Is that the best they could get?
I can root for the Broncos with Tebow. There is no way in hell I’ll root for the Jets with Tebow.
God help Elway and the Broncos should Manning get hurt early next season or if they do poorly. Especially since they pretty much just gave Tebow away. Their fans won’t put up with it.
Tebow will be able to learn from Mark Sanchez. Uh oh!
I’m having a hard time seeing Rex Ryan and Tim Tebow in the same organization somehow
that puts Stanton in 3rd place at QB AGAIN! Dang! A darned good QB at MSU
they want to push Sanchez but not too hard cause he’s soooo fragile.
Tebow won't start. Sanchez is the starter. Tebow's job will be to sit on the bench and watch the drama and fights between teammates.
He should use next year working on his footwork and his passing accuracy.
Good pickup for the Jets. They extended Sanchez, but now they have a spark off the bench if he regresses. With a pretty good line, they could make some things happen. They may even try and trade up for Richardson in the draft. The only problem is their defense regressed last year, and may not be able to carry them again. But a 4th for a backup with playoff experience, thats pretty good.
And for Denver, a 4th was a pretty decent return. DeMeco Ryans, a starting LB who has made the Pro Bowl twice was sent to Philly for a 4th, so this is probably the right range. Ryans may have gone for more, but has injury issues. I think the trade is good for both teams.
By polarizing, the writer really means Christian.
While Sanchez may be the starter, I willing to bet we will see Tebow on the field a lot next year running the Wildcat that Sparano loves so much. I also would not be surprised to see them trot both Tebow and Sanchez out on the field together at times.
While Sparano sucked bigtime as a head coach he is a very creative and capable coordinator and I imagine he will use Tebow in a myriad of formations.
Also, I expect to see Tebow on the field a lot inside the Red Zone ala his freshman year at Florida and like Oklahoma uses the “Belldozer”
I also look forward to seeing MArcel Darius, Kyle Williams and Mario Williams slamming Sanchez and Tebow to the ground multiple times next year.
Watch the Jets go allllll the way this year! Get rid of slowpoke Sanchez and Tebow will win the Superbowl for them.
The heck with what Denver received in return - Tebow was always going to be traded to the weakest, most screwed-up, least likely to be successful team in the league. After taking a gigantic gamble on a 36 year old quarterback that may never play back to his old level, did anyone seriously think Denver would trade him to someplace he might start or be successful? The team management will be in for enough grief if Manning is sitting on the bench injured by game three. Can you imagine if while that was happening, Tebow was out winning games in the last second.
And don't forget that in all the criticism that has ever been leveled at Elway, no one has ever said his ego was too small.
Headline NYT:
"Last Second Tebow TD Sinks Denver! Jets on to Super Bowl!!"
State-controlled media has been instructed to place the word "polarizing" in front of Tim Tebow's name anytime the print it, just as they were instructed to place the phrase "white separatist" in front of Randy Weaver's name anytime the printed it.
“Polarizing????”
Tebow is “polarizing” only to those who WANT to be polarized. Gotta get that little dig in...
I’ll even be Jets fan for this trade.
As a Broncos fan, I am deeply saddened.
Guess I’ll be rooting for the Jets this season.
What’s Mike Francesa’s take on this? If he’s blasting it it’s good news for the Jets.
