Haney says Woods has a distaste for the likes of Vijay Singh, Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia. Woods prefers a more reserved character, according to Haney and collaborator Jaime Diaz. Haney also writes of being afraid to even ask Woods for a popsicle from his refrigerator.
In regard to Phil Mickelson, Haney writes Woods felt his American rival was phony and received more favorable media coverage - perhaps motivated by racial bias.

Wow, I'm a bit put off that even the greatest athlete of our era has to play the race card because the press didn't kiss is brooding ass.
Apparently he didn't have much warmth for his wife either.

his perception of Woods as often feeling jilted by the media and his peers. *checks calendar to see if it's April 1 yet*
These people cannot be serious. Tiger got the most intense media tongue-bathing of any athlete in history before the Elin golf club incident.

I can’t recall off-hand anyone in the sports world ever getting the positive press coverage that Woods got especially since he is in a sport which is not one of the more popular ones.
Even Rush slobbered all over his ass for a long time.

Woods is more Asian than black anyway.

There are no winners between these two. Haney should be ashamed of himself for revealing personal communications when he was in a contractual relationship with Woods. He’s an opportunist who should never be trusted again. And Woods is clearly a deeply-scarred individual whose personal issues have manifested themselves into an unhealthy view of the world and personal relationships.

I am sick to death of the media’s fawning coverage of Woods. The telecasts and “highlights” are: “Tiger on the 6th finds that bunker at the back” and: “Tiger on the 12th, misses that putt and remains 6 back.” Then an occasional diversion: “Meanwhile, our leaders are approaching the 10th”.

Phil Mickelson has ten times the character of Tiger Woods. Of course Tiger doesn't like him!
I also love Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia (before they made him tone down). it was nice to see some excitement in golf!
