It seems like there's been a never-ending argument between certain "dog people" and "cat people," which seems pretty crazy considering how most of us can agree that dogs and cats are both cute and both make good image macros.

A lot of people just seem really invested in proving for whatever reason that one group is better than the other, which is plain silly for a number of reasons.

I had a little 4# Chihuahua-poodle mix that would not respond to any name I called her. Until the day I said, “Well, you silly dog: Maybe you think you’re a cat!” Then I said, “Here kitty!” And she came running.

She was a really sweet little dog.

I saw a comic strip several years ago--I think it was Rick O'Shay--in which a cat looks on in horror as a man commands his dog to sit, roll over, heel, etc.--and the dog obediently complies.

No war here. Have cats and dogs, they get along and it has been this way for over twenty years.

I prefer cats but the house seems empty without a dog.

But there’s partly the rub. Dog breeds are SOOOOOO different. GS are great but so many others, frankly, uh, no.

I love cats too. Breed doesn’t matter as much.

Your post is one reason why I like to point out the superiority of cats to smelly dogs. Dogs...SMELL, drool, poop and eat it, roll it in, slobber, bark, jump and scratch, don’t always OBEY, BITE—some to death, can’t be alone, need to be let out, need to be washed, need a pooper scooper person (Haha....well..some conscientious owners do this)....where does it stop? Cats are so far superior..
