March 2, 1942:

• "Six Jews at the Janówska, Ukraine, labor camp near Lvov are forced to spend the night outside; all six freeze to death.

• "Children from a Jewish nursery in the Minsk (Belorussia) Ghetto are thrown into a sandpit, tossed sweets, and then smothered to death. More than 5000 Jewish adults from Minsk are also killed."

"These Slovakian Jews, along with their luggage, are about to board a deportation train.
Six thousand Jews from Slovakia, deported in March 1942, were among the first shipped to the Auschwitz death camp, where more than one million Jews ultimately perished."

"Belgian Jews are drafted for forced labor."

"A Jewish family loads a bicycle and a large bundle onto a railroad car during a deportation operation from Slovakia.
Oblivious to their fate, tens of thousands of Slovakian Jews were deported during a four-month period from March to June 1942."
