I cried when she read it to me this morning.
She is on a poetry fad.
I had tears when I wrote it and tears now while I posted it here. My brother died in 95 and hardly a day goes by that I don’t think of him and miss him. The good news is, he loved the Lord and was looking forward to his meeting with him.
A PRAYER FOR LOVE
simmer slowly O my heart
let love be slow and true
let passion be in every part
let me enjoy the view
let love be lasting, long, and tried
let her love be the same
let both of us subdue our pride
let neither hold a blame
let me find the depth of soul
and help me learn to please
let two halves become a whole
and every moment seize
I ask not for a perfect love
but one I could endeavor
and give it blessings from above
and let it last forever.

Amy, I saw that poem on Marissa’s facebook status update last night. Quite impressive for someone her age. She has a tender heart and she is very talented with words. Oh, and I have also heard her sing! She’s been blessed with many talents and a wonderful, caring grandmother. Give her a hug for me. I am sorry she is missing her Millie.
Thanks, Lori. Now if she would just learn to spell. LOL I think it has been about a year since Millie died. Marissa is vey sensitive.
The art teacher has complimented her on her artistic talent. I think she is artsy. :) I can hardly draw a straight line.
On Facebook, she wrote another poem about angels.
Love to All FRiends.

I saw that one too. I pop into her page every once in awhile to see what is going on, ;-). She definitely has talent in many areas. It will be interesting to see which area she eventually begins to develop over the others.
Re: her spelling, I think that is the way the kids spell today. It is "texting spelling". Seems they drop all non-necessary letters for convenience and speed. I guess it is true phonetic spelling. It will be a wonder if, in years to come, any of them are going to know how to spell properly.
I worry about Facebook. Shiver
She has lots of cousins and people I know as her friends I’m sure that someone will let me know when I should jump in!! ;-)
She is so naive ... everyone is a friend. After all, she checked his picture so he is who he says he is. RIGHT!!!
I hear you, Amy. These kids are so vulnerable and trusting. It’s good to know she has lots of people keeping an eye on things. She’s a sociable little thing and there’s nothing wrong with that. I think she’ll be okay. :-)
Even adults, who should know better, can get suckered in on the internet. And if adults can fall prey, how can we expect our young people to be cautious and wary?
I don’t know if it made an impression, but I told her the Snow Bunny story. (Wasn’t that her name?)
Yes. Good example. :-)
Hi Mama Bear. Nice to “see” you.
Hi Dave! Betcha didn’t know that I’ve been popping in here every so often to check on you. So glad to hear that your surgery is over and the doctor found no sign of cancer. Praise God! Prayers continue for a clear report on your lab tests. I’ll be checking back for updates, you can be sure. :-)
I want to hear the Snow Bunny story! Bwwwwaaaaaaa! I’m just a kid at heart!
Lori, you took the words right out of my mouth. I could'nt have said it better! Dave, we ALL are Praising GOD for your good results and Praying for total healing!
