I have to have an ultrasound of my gallbladder in the morning. Tonight I can only eat fruits and vegetables. WebMD said to eat fat free meal. I was wondering if potato is considered a vegetable and would be safe to eat in some soup? I have found conflicting things on the internet.
Thanks for your help.
Huh?????? Do what the Dr told you. Nothing but water after midnight.
A potato is not a vegetable, it’s a root.
A potato has no fat content unless you load it with butter or sour cream.
I would just not eat it tonight. Since it’s not a long term thing, I would just forgo it this one time.
I ate a potato once, and it wasn’t nice.
If in doubt skip it ,, it’s only one night...
DRINK APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AND YOUR GALLBLADDER ISSUES/STONES WILL DISAPPEAR.
YES, I’M YELLING BECAUSE YOU NEED TO HEAR ME AND KNOW THAT THIS IS TRUE :)
The gall bladder reacts to the ingestion of fat. That includes vegetable fat. Just stay away from anything with fat in it, or alcoholic drinks.
My Mom is saying the same thing that I ought to skip it. I think I will. Thanks. :)
I have found conflicting things on it on the internet, but I think I’m going to avoid it to stay safe.
Vodka is made from potatoes and has no fat, so I’d just drink plenty of that. ;-)
skip it..I had gallbladder surgery/removal 4 years ago, not fun!
In other words can you eat a slice of bread or a bowl of oatmeal?
Ouch. This is just to check my gallbladder. I’m hoping it’s ok and I don’t have to have the surgery.
“DRINK APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AND YOUR GALLBLADDER ISSUES/STONES WILL DISAPPEAR”
What about Apple Cider pills?
and if a no on the pills do you drink in water or straight? Thanks
Drink vinegar?
How much? And you really just drink it straight, like a glass of water? Ugh.
I’ve heard that, too, but never really looked in to it.
I can’t eat bread or oatmeal. They said that for dinner I can only have fruits and vegetables and nothing after midnight.
