what? I was voicing an opinion a lot of others are feeling... no envy, no jealousy, just a gut understanding that politics as usual, and sitting on the bench, isn’t going to save America... People need to stop sitting on the fence... in case you hadn’t noticed, none of barack’s supporters, powerful or not, are on the fence...
Nice try at snark... but you need to sharpen up a little... kind of a clunky thud..

If it was head to head with Santourm v Newt and electability wasn't an issue, I think I would go with Newt as I think he would be a better president.
OTOH, I think Romney was successful in destroying Newt.
We shall see if Newt makes his comeback.

While I will vote for Newt in the Georgia primary here, I am not deluded enough to believe that he is the 'toughest' fighter of the candidates. He has an excellent academic command of historical political rhetoric, he has a very good ability to think quickly in
some venues, and he occasionally can excel in one-on-one debates that don't hamper him - but he is not in control of any venue; and he won't be so fortunate to have a "Lincoln-Douglas" style debate any time during this year.
What disappoints me most is his whining about other candidates ganging up on him or not 'playing fair' and putting out untrue campaign ads. I'd like to speak to him personally and tell him to 'nut up' and take it like a man and fight with ideas. Letters from his lawyers to media outlets don't do it for me, frankly.

"Newt should think about reaching out to a wider audience, and toss out a few platitudes here and there."Throw out a few platitudes? What the heck do you think got us here in this hellhole?
Platitudes are LIES AND DECEPTION. If you can't win on merit, you shouldn't win.
"A platitude is a trite, meaningless, biased, or prosaic statement, often presented as if it were significant and original."
NO THANKS!

You know, I think the image of Newt whining is greatly exaggerated. If you ask me, I found Santorum to be the whiner. Always complaining about not getting questions in the debates, never getting interviews, he is the Dangerfield of the campaigns. Now he is getting the opportunity and what does he do? His comments have to be interpreted and explained, he has to back pedal and explain “what he was trying to say”. I could sure overlook a few little moments when newt was complaining to get the vast array of his positives and talents.
