Just before Thanksgiving, Obama's approval was somewhere in the lower 40s. All of our candidates looked within range to defeat him. This was our election to lose. Now I feel like the wind is in our face and we are backed up inside the two yardline. Is it the quality of our candidates ? The best speeches of the year so far were delivered by a former Governor of Alaska (whom I adore and wanted to run) and a British member of the EU Parliment. That is not a good sign.
The economy is not that much better. People live and breathe the conditions on the ground and they are not good even if they are not getting worse at the same pace as before.
What is the deal here ?
Am I to believe Bill O'Reilly's talking points tonight ? Are we just a dime bag welfare state (sums up what he said) ?
What is going wrong ? Words of wisdow anyone ?
It is like we need a political John Elway to step up and all I see on the sideline is Bubby Brister and Jeff George.
The media is in all out SAVE OBAMA mode. They will do everything to convinvce the electorate that re-election of Obunghole is inevitable.
The only candidate out there taking it to Obama is Newt. Not that Santorum won’t take it to Obama, but rest assured that Romney will not.
The media is pushing Romney as the putative GOP nominee and that we should just accept that. Occupy is set up to go after Romeny for Bain Capital. It is the old magicians trick of distraction.
Go after Obama every day, on every aspect of his governance, personality, and associations.
Turn off your television. Don’t listen to the left wing media or read MSM web sites. Their job is to propagandize the sheeple and demoralize the conservative base. We need to stay energized and focussed and defeat Obama the muslim marxist bastard at any cost.

What I am saying is that Obama put this out there to distract from the economy and Rick was eager to forget about the economy, thinking moral matters are his strong suit.
You are quite right. But note that santorum, at one point, was beating Obama in polls. The great unwashed looks at the Republican nomination squabble and doesn’t sense stability. Once that contest is over things will change. The nominee, like Gabriel, will have a message to trumpet.
Keep in mind that Harris and Gallup had Reagan losing to Carter up until the election of 1980. (talk about rigged polling)
BTW some of you think the Libs are so damn smart...can you say alienate 59% of the Catholic vote?

What is killing us is the presence of the destroyer, Mitt Romney, the man Rubio backed in Florida during that crucial week.
Romney has a damping effect on conservatism and the Republican party, he did it in Massachusetts (decimating the state party and losing the Governor’s seat ever since), he smothered our field in 2007 by making it known that he was going to dominate fund raising, command a huge organization, and spend record amounts in the primaries.
The only reason that we haven’t been swallowed up entirely, is because of that debate showing by Newt, it caused a big crack in the Romney machine and allowed Newt, and now Santorum to break into his columns and disrupt his march.
I take the Times-CBS polls as seriously as I take the BLS reports .... fake and hyped extensively by the water carriers in the MSM.
Never underestimate the amount of latent stupidity around us.
Social matters are important to the race, any conservative knows that.
If social issues didn’t matter, then Romney might have skated by, conservatives are his enemy.

The list of what Obama has done to this Country is so long and grows everyday... it is hard to keep up, but I will tell everyone I know... everyday ... all day long
First thing I will tell them is MSM is lying to them... that it the biggest hurdle... even my closest friends watch MSM in the Morning before they go to work... and they believe what they see / hear ... then Obama makes a speech and they go “See he isn’t destroying the Country”

Today OReilly made a serious mistake in Talking Points saying that Revenues are too low. WRONG!! Revenues are at least as great as they were in the Bush years even adjusted for inflation! That was a particularly stupid, unresearched comment on OReilly’s part. Give us a break..that’s a Dem talking point!
The point is everything from everyone has to be verified and analyzed.
o doubt this is Obamas gambit. But it is also his ideological oppression.
If we and Santorum argue about the free exercise of our (anyt) religion we may win. If we talk about contraception we move onto Obamas ground and we lose.
Never trust a poll until you have read its wording and methodology. Many are unreliable, some intentionally so.
Yes, they are important but I did not realize contraception and all this other stuff was at the top of our concerns this year.
I didn’t know women were being denied contraception., And I didn’t know so much of America was gay. Heck, they don’t need contraception!
Oh course all this is an attack on the Church, so let the Church fight it.
We are going over the cliff fiscally and economically.
That is what our candidate needs to focus on first and foremost.
Its a deliberate head fake by Obama to shift the topic to moral issues.
It's an attack on religious liberty...an unalienable right.
Anybody who loves America should fight this fight.
