Actor Bill Murray on Friday said he believes Americans need to be more personally responsible for their well-being.
"I think we ought to be personally responsible," he said on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Friday morning. "I think if you can take care of yourself, and then maybe try to take care of someone else, that's sort of how you're supposed to live.
"It's not a question of asking other people for help or being rescued or anything like that," he continued. "I think we've sort of gotten used to someone looking out for us, and I don't think any other person is necessarily going to be counted on to look out for us.
"I think there's only so many people that can take care of themselves, and can take care of other people. And the rest of the people
they're useful in terms of compost for the whole planet, you know."

it appears that way..
The staggering thing is that a statement that would have been seen As self-evident 100 years ago is now seen as newsworthy.
sorry, I did a search on Bill Murray and could not find the article. So I posted it.
Incoming death threats from loony liberals.
Good. Now, Mr Murray, take the next step and connect this tendency for Americans to require government help in wiping their rear ends to politicians’ promises in exchange for votes.
Bill Murray was great in a movie called, “The Lost City”. The movie starred Andy Garcia, and was blasted by the leftists, because it dared show the truth about their patron saints, Fidel and Che.
I can watch Murray in just about anything, yes even, “Lost in Translation” and “The Life Aquatic.”
“Has Bill Murray grown up from his pot smoking partying days??”
He is a very kind and generous man, but all over the place politically..a true indie. Has backed all parties, even backed Ralph Nader once. A very rare bird, and smart as hell, but puts people friends and family first. Good guy, in other words.

Want to see it, thanks for bringing it up:)
Big fan, big fan.. I have loved him in everything, even the 2 you mentioned.. I just re-watched Lost in Translation the other day.. He is a natural, and he made that movie watchable...that and of course the cute young thing.
Yep, the Hollywood leftists have pretty much buried it, but it should be out on DVD.
Did you see him playing himself in Zombieland? It was the only good thing about that movie.
