Just bought a new nickel-plated .44 Magnum. Wanna play Clint! I can count too! Nice wrinkles. Wimpy voice. Go play golf!

The ad that played before that ad was an E-Trade ad depicting a baby “speed dating” at the hospital nursery. I closed the window.

I saw the ad elsewhere though, and it’s terrible. Detroit rebuilt ? Who said that ?

It was the Elton John Pepsi commercial. “Okay Pepsi for you.” Woman’s response was, “ No, Pepsi for all.”

Screw the union bail out companies, they can burn as they were meant to.

Once they truly re-org, ditch the real problems that killed them even though they don't know they're dead yet, and maybe even compensate the shareholders they stole from to pay off the unions, we can re-assess real America's relationship with them.

This "government chooses the winner" crap is just that. All crap.

I don't abide by propaganda. Maybe at his age, Clint Eastwood wants this image to be real but far too many of us see right through it.

I'm surprised at the attitude around here.

Last year Chysler's M&M spot did inspire something. Pride in a company, a town, a can-do spirit? Whatever, it went over well in Detroit.
The fact we all know is; it's a company trying to get you to feel good about that company. If they can also tug on your heart strings by relating to a team and a country they've done well.

Look at where we are. We've got a very uninspiring economy, a government out of control and just as lost and uninspiring as the leaders combined past present and pending. Obama took his one moment that could've inspired some kind of national pride and purposely ruined it with leaks, lack of evidence, and as little flag waving as possible. He had to play it to his base. They murdered a mass murderer and politely buried the guy so as not to offend his religion.

The Eastwood ad mentions that people are hurting and we all know how true that is. Whatever the solution, whatever the cause, it suggests we'll find a way to win. You folks actually have a problem with that?

He’s an actor. He got paid. Clint could make buying dog poop pro-American.

Its Chrysler. They suck. Their cars suck. The company is owned by commie unions. Commie unions suck.

Don’t buy GM. Don’t buy Chrysler. Buy Ford. Ford is still an American company.

I usta buy only Chevy, my wife only Chrysler. I still have a 01 Sebring convertable in the drive way. We are buying a Ford Edge next.

“Seemed like an Obama commercial.”

Yes, that’s what I thought.

Sorry, but you can’t be a libertarian and crow about how great it was that we all “came together” and staged a government intervention.

He failed big time here - betrayed whatever principles *we thought* he had.

Put auto politics aside and Clint's because is a left leaning almost Goldwater-ish in his later life Republicanism...

But, would ya vote for him? I mean really for a moment I thought my G_d this is what we need a kick @$$ that doesn't mince words.

FWIW this was a poor rip off of Reagan's "Morning in America" commercials, am I the only one to notice?

My how far we have fallen, we need strong medicine, where is someone with this bad @$$ persona? Alan West for sure...

I’ve got a problem if the method by which we win is to PICK winners and losers and fund the winners by making losers out of taxpayers.

Yeah - I’ll take “no way” over *that way*.

Next, you’ll be telling us about the positive message in Chairman Mao’s work!

Yeah - didn’t they mention the “less privileged” or “less fortunate” or some crap? Amazing what our society has turned into - show me someone who is so “unprivileged” that they can’t have pepsi - doesn’t exist.

The fact we all know is; it's a company trying to get you to feel good about that company. If they can also tug on your heart strings by relating to a team and a country they've done well.

Correction: They are trying to get you to give them your money.

The people running that company don't give a damn about you, your family, your friends, or America. They care about their bank account.

If they can manipulate your feelings somehow, they will do so, and unfortunately 90% of this country is dumb enough to buy into such advertising.

I feel the same way most of you do. I'm still driving a Chevy, the last of a very long string. Next up will be a Ford but that's all beside the point.

The commercial is supposed to have more than one message, we all know that. It's either the cup is half full or half empty. If our general attitude is "90% of this country is dumb" it's possibly a self defeating and self fulfilling prophecy don't ya think? It's no wonder the GOPe figures they can just jam Mitt Romney down our throats if our attitude is so lousy.

If this is or was ever a great country it was because of the people - my guess would be at any given time that would be at least 1/2 of them. If you don't believe in the better nature of both political folks and non-political, Democrats and Republicans, fat people and skinny, etc. etc. Then why fight for it at all?

The commercial is supposed to have more than one message, we all know that.

The commercial is first and foremost supposed to help a company sell cars.

You're looking for something warm and fuzzy from a company run by people who will donate to whichever party will help their bank accounts. It is not a coincidence when you find out that large companies are frequently run by people who donate to both parties.

It's either the cup is half full or half empty. If our general attitude is "90% of this country is dumb" it's possibly a self defeating and self fulfilling prophecy don't ya think? It's no wonder the GOPe figures they can just jam Mitt Romney down our throats if our attitude is so lousy.

You're talking about a nation that cares more about who won American Dance Idol than their Constitutional freedoms.
