What is your favorite romance movie? This might seem a bit odd coming from me, but there it is.
2nd question--how do I change my tagline??
King Kong. Ape meets girl, ape falls for girl.
Best Years of Our Lives- 1946
Yup. That one is a massive tear jerker.
My son bought that for me one time and I’ll be damned if I can find it after we moved 4 years ago !
I was actually just thinking of it the other night and wishing I could find it to watch again. Oh well, guess I can see if the library has it.
Or How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.
The Porch Scene
And Cold Mountain
Casablanca
An Affair to Remember
Roman Holiday
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Brief Encounter
Here are a couple by the British filmmaking team known as The Archers:
I Know where I'm Going!
A Matter of Life and Death
Right now, my clear winner is “The Time Traveler’s Wife”. I bawled my brain out non-stop starting about ten minutes into it.
I think it is because I’m a huge fan of time travel science fiction and was very mindful of the implications of the things that were going on as well as the possibilities left to the imagination of the viewer.
My wife didn’t “get it”, even though she is a huge “chick film” fan.
Almost Heaven is really good too, btw.
The African Queen. Sort of off-beat romance but it is a classic.
>>Overboard, but thats only because it was the first movie my future wife and I went to way back in High School.
Lol, I went to see “Cutthroat Island” with a very busty girl I was dating and was glad there was really nothing worth watching.
Nevertheless, it seemed like a great movie.
Thank you very much for the info.
Pride and Prejudice, based on the Jane Austin Novel. Starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.
I love that movie.
OK, so it was actually a tv miniseries. It’s still my favorite!

I’m with ya there - hysterical ...”chic flick”
I have seen this movie and I like it, but a romance novel? LOL!
I think I have to go with “Electric Dreams”
Roman Holiday
The Accidental Tourist
As Good as it Gets
Doctor Zhivago
Lost in Translation
Yes, I saw Amazing Grace a few years ago. Great movie. Pray you take time to watch Splendor in the Grass.
I like romantic comedies.
The Breakup, Failure to Launch, Bridget Jones Diary, How to lose a guy in 10 days, that sort of thing.
