Good for you. It’s colder there than here.

Ah, the cookies are verboten here. If I need a fix that bad, I'll grab a sugar-free Italian ice from the freezer. My blood sugar is still higher than my doctor and I want it, and I'm trying to eliminate 'the needle' from my daily med regimen. There's still a bit of goodies around here for the grandson's weekly overnight campout in the den, though. I just make the wife hide it in places where I won't find it during my 2 A.M. zombie grazing,
especially the peanut butter. LOL! Tell ya what - I'll wrap up a few slabs o' pig, put it on a pool float, run down to the end of the street, and launch it into the 'Hooch. It ought to make it to the Gulf around Apalachicola in a couple of days, and if it catches a good current, you can fish it out about Wednesday or Thursday. Might need reheated, though. LOL

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Thanks Viking. When that package ends up in Apalachicola, we’ll have a good excuse to pickup a sack of oysters.

Bless your heart, Viking! Sugar is not the greatest thing in the world at all, and your being here with us is much more important. If you can cheat every now and then—there’s that.

Goodnight, Vision and Friends! Super Bowl is next week, so we may not be here, but will check in for a status report of our whereabouts. :-)

Watch it, Gina - logitech is gonna try to bow-fish your dinner before it hits open water. HA! LOL OK, I'll slap a couple more slabs on the raft. Divvy it up and play nice. If it ever gets
done. I know this was a big hunk o' cloven-hooved critter, but we just had to make several slices down to the bone to finish it. It's still bleeding out, for crying out loud. I think we may just have to carve some off the top and edges, and let it keep cooking 'til morning. We have two Dachshunds and a ham-o-holic turtle named Fred who are just having conniption fits right now because it smells like wood-fired bacon in the house. But it is dee-lish. I think it's time to go put a few more ounces of honey on it, and get some down into the knife cuts - the more caramelized, the better. And maybe I'll cheat and nail it with some extra Liquid Smoke, for good measure. I swear this thing could feed ten people easily. It's the proverbial 25 pound turkey at a Thanksgiving table set to serve four. And I'm into hour number seven nursing it along. I'd have gotten started sooner if I hadn't been so involved with prepping, planting, and greenhousing about 150 English holly tree seeds.
Ping to TheOldLady, who already lays claim to my fall-off-the-bone rib cookery process........

Man! That sounds fabulous! I saw some giant hams in the store, and I guess yours is probably about the same size. They looked like Mack Trucks.
I know you’ll enjoy that. Probably have to freeze some of it, too!
Have a good week, Viking! PS: Thanks for the river delivery!
:-)
