I really don’t care how much someone makes.

It's the same with me. I don't even understand why some here get bent out of shape with the millions of dollars professional athletes make. As long as people are willing to pay the ticket prices and buy the merchandise, more power to them. The marketplace, when unfettered and allowed to operate freely, is never wrong in that regard.

I think this article is a good example of how the *hate* machine is going to operate against whomever the R candidate is.

Did the math, and it would take me over 100 years just to earn the amount he paid in taxes...

If making really big money is the goal, then construct a plan to do so. Once Obama is out of office, we'll have liberty restored which will allow anyone to make as much as he wishes. It's actually simple: Find a product or service that people want and then provide that at a price a shade lower than the competition.

Emerson's advice is still correct: "Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door." Once Conservatism prevails again under President Newt Gingrich, we'll all be able to build those mousetraps! My plan is in place to become very wealthy in the Happy Newt Year, starting January 2013.

This is a non-issue to me but, at the same time, it isn’t the battle I would choose to have with Barack Obama if I had a choice. Choose your battles wisely I always say.

“So what if Romney has millions of dollars”

Right, but the article is a preview of the campaign if Mitt is the nominee. All we will hear about his how horrible the rich are and how undeserving they all of all that cash.

I do not think this has anything to do with his verbal skills. I think his hired help recognized the 'occupy wall street' as performance art directed directly at him and his presidential ambitions. AND for whatever reason his campaign's strategy has always been about appealing to what is perceived as those hanging Independents. Now Romney really cannot be running on Romneycare and against Obamacare, regardless of what Ann Coulter claims to the contrary. So what does Mitt have left but to run an Obama-styled campaign of taking out his opposition with money.

The GOP establishment and Romney are hunting the so called independent votes by praising Obama, and saying they can do things better. Obama in over his head does not seem to me to be a winning campaign message.

I don’t like Mitt for many reasons. Its admirable, however, that he has generated such enormous wealth both for himself and society. America needs many, many, more like Mitt Romney in the business world. Just not in the Oval Office...

Mitt Romney has done more to help the poor than the entire leftist ruling class combined.

so i’m not supposed to strive to be successful in America?

anyone know a country that would welcome the entrepreneurial spirit without crushing their return on investment?

Doesn't Bill Gates fund Stale? Why not compare Mitt's income to Bill Gates' income?

What matters to me is the magnitude of my net worth, not the ratio of Bill Gates's net worth to mine.

I recognize that others may feel the opposite. But they are scum.
