LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A class reading assignment infuriates the parents of a 14-year-old Valley Traditional High School student.
They said their daughter's questions about the book left them speechless.
The book is called "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian." "She was masturbating and (describing) how to masturbate and how she did it and also giving a boy a (expletive) and going into great detail of how to perform it," said Vincent.
Vincent took the book to her daughter's step-father, who became speechless.
"Her being the age that she's in right now, you just freeze up. You don't know what to say to a child that young," said the girl's father, Michael Basham.
It has been around since 2007, and even received the National Book Award for young people's literature.
But it has also been banned in several school systems.
The girls' parents said Jefferson County Public Schools should be one of them.
"She just started showing me all these pages all this deep detail, and it just blew my mind," said Amanda Vincent, the student's mother.
When Vincent's 14-year old daughter began reading "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian," she became upset. Vincent couldn't believe the actions described by one of the literary characters.

And the justification for this by the ‘educator’ involved is?
From the sounds of this article parents, some of them are waking up to the horrors of the NEA and Publik Skools.

How do decent individuals employed in public education tolerate the perverts & freaks in their ranks?
Because the decent are a minority in a sea of deviants and leftists.
The pedophiles in Cell Block D rate the book “A MUST READ!”.
It won awards because the judges are of like mind.
And this is why my future children will NOT be attending public schools.

Easy to understand: Disagreeing with the agenda makes life exceeding difficult and may result in being fired.
Note: That 14 year old is atypical. Thanks to President Blow Job (AKA Bill Clinton) the sad fact is that oral sex is not uncommon among fifth graders.
Probably the awards came from Liberal orgs.

Two parents have woken up, at least.
Too bad they slept through most of the damage done to their 14-year-old daughter. Oh well, not all children have parents who love them.
This is what you call sexual harrassment. The girl did not want to be approached with the teacher’s pervert porn in class and the authority figure in the classroom would not stop when told to back off by girl’s parents.
If you did this to an employee at the office, you would be sued for sexual harassment.
I just don’t understand how conservatives can continue their kids in government schools. Would they hire a babysitter from a company pervaded by perverts and devoted to moral nihlism? No, but they send their kids off to the Indoctrination Camp every day without much of a bother.
Mostly, it’s because of “not my child’s school,” “not my child’s teacher” syndrome. Everyone consoles themself that it’s just the OTHER guy’s school that is part of a corrupt institution.
There are many options besides government schools.
Moreover, if every conservative took their kids out of government schools, it would put a considerable and efficient hurt on the power of Leftism in this country. And do so immediately.
What are you waiting for? Go for it, parents.
This is simply child pornography. Something the Libs absolutely love.
By law, this girl could not, without her parents’ consent, have seen a movie depicting what she was assigned to read in middle school.
She could not go to 7-11 and buy a magazine describing these incidents in great detail.
Had her neighbor showed her a book with this crap in it, or told her about these sex acts in great detail, he would be liable for prosecution for child sexual abuse.
Yet a government school shoves it in her face. And had she not had the relationship she had with her parents, leading her to discuss it with them, it might have had its intended (by Liberals) effect.
