Some time ago I read a funny satirical letter from a fictional father to his son in the military. The letter dragged on and on about how his sister or brother was in jail, his taxes were too high and he was losing his home, somebody else had run afoul of the law, etc. Then he closed the letter by thanking his son for helping the many freedoms he enjoyed. Does anyone else remember that? Do you have a link to it?

Thanks!
