The Day One performances conclude with very few eliminations.
The judges warn the survivors though. There's a limited number spots available in the semifinals, and if the Day Two performances are as good as theirs, some of them could still go home.

I was thinking that this year is better than last year. I think they are showing us more good stuff this year. Now that they have some competition from the ‘voice’ and x factor, maybe they decided to limit the garbage and show more quality performances. I like the change.
