Try this link.
http://nunzioweb.com/daz/silencedetector.html
The aim of this plug-in is to detect when there is a specified duration of digitial silence through Winamp’s output and allows for restarting the current track and a few other actions (as shown in the screenshot to the right).
A common use for this plug-in is when you’re listening to a stream and it cuts out and Winamp will just do nothing in an attempt to reconnect to the stream (if it still exists).

I believe some websitea have time limits on them and others turn off when there is no activity on your computer. I usually just seek out another site to pick up the program that doesn’t do that.

I doubt if you need this but perhaps other FReepers do, here is a link to a collection of (conservative) radio stations streaming on the web.

Question: what program do you use to record streams?
Finally:
Does anyone have a link for Fox television News (other than the official website which does not stream) streaming?

When I'm recording a stream I use Total Recorder from
High Criteria. It is a paid program but has been more than worth the price I paid for the professional version. It can schedule recordings, start streams, and restart them if the stream stops for some reason.
I don't have any business relationship with them other than being a very happy customer.
