When I'm recording a stream I use Total Recorder from High Criteria. It is a paid program but has been more than worth the price I paid for the professional version. It can schedule recordings, start streams, and restart them if the stream stops for some reason.

I don't have any business relationship with them other than being a very happy customer.

I use Total Recorder

I also use Total Recorder Pro. I recall having some problems with their capability to start a stream long ago and I just haven't used it at all in years. I wasn't aware that they would try to restart the stream either. Is this automatic? Or do you have to choose some option for this?

Thanks for the tip. Haven’t tried it yet, but it looks great.
