It’s all part of the media event. You really shouldn’t be concerned with who gets endorsed or not, unless you’re going to vote the way they say to vote.
Actually I have considerably less respect for the cattle who spend their days waiting for someone to make an endorsement (Tell them who to vote for).
Those people would be doing us all a favor if they never voted again.
Well - to be fair - Todd Palin has come out for Newt.
Feel better now?
This thread is useless without CAPSLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They're pushing conservative thinking not a particular person.
Limbaugh has always said that his job is not to get people elected, but to entertain people.
I was listening to Rush this morning and I was thinking how talented he is, doing that much talking about all the candidates without endorsing anyone.
Wow.. You read my mind! I was thinking that exact thing about Palin waiting this long.. It ticks me off.. Support your candidate early so they have a chance to stay in the race!
“Be like Thomas Sowell and others who have endorsed someone conservative without thinking of how it will affect their readers or their listeners.”
Agree! Get of the damn pot and endorse Newt (or even Santorum.)
So tell me, is there something in Huck and Palin’s Fox News contracts that prevents this?
But what if they endorse someone you don’t like?
You should think for yourself. Pick your candidate without worrying about who is endorsing them. Remember their job is NOT to pick candidates, it is NOT to guide conservatism to a new age of dominance, it’s NOT to save this country from liberals. Their job is to accumulate listeners and readers primarily to sell their eyes and ears to advertisers, or sell tickets to events (which probably have sponsors too). Don’t ever let people who make money by selling you think for you, they don’t have your best interest in mind.
Willard Flopney would pay big money if more true conservatives would remain SILENT until he wraps this up.
If anything, he was a Michele Bachmann supporter.
Why do you care what they think?
“Come out now, Rush and Sarah. Tell us who you think we should endorse.”
With due respect: Don’t you think it is YOU that might be the coward since you are waiting for somone else to tell you who to endorse? Do you really need them to tell you? I don’t.
Rush and Sarah and a bunch of others told me to tell you to vore for...oh wait, gotta answer the telephone.
Sarah Palin could rally The T.E.A. Party like no one else.
I get the feeling she is looking for a cabinet post from the eventual nominee.
I had always thought she would team up with Rick Perry but she's letting him twist in the win. They were energy state governors and had history together.
You're a FReeper...and you need others to tell you what to think, and what to do?
Whoa....I need a drink!!!
I hope you are not banned because you’ve raised an important discussion point. However, you’re looking at their refusal to endorse in the wrong way.
We’ve had exactly one caucus that resulted in no delegates being committed. Iowa must still hold district and state caucuses before we know anything about their results.
We haven’t had one primary. New Hampshire’s is tomorrow.
Rush and Sarah are not cowards. They understand exacty what kind influence their endorsements hold. So they are using incredible restraint and should be commended. For either of them to endorse a candidate before SC & FL have held their primaries would be to effectively circumvent the electoral process.
Ann Coulter, God bless her, made the wrong decision to endorse before even one primary.
That’s not to say that governors and legislators should not endorse before the primaries. I don’t have an issue with their endorsing candidates at this point in the process.
The gov busted her ass for the conservative movement for three years plus, and folks said they preferred somebody more intelligent, more articulate, more serious (or at least more serious-appearing), less encumbered by personal baggage, less encumbered by rabid supporters, less polarizing, in general more electable.
Having seen the remaining field in action the last few months...I love irony.
