I vote Santa Monica.
But she is probably paying over 50% of her income in taxes for the privilege of living in California State, Los Angeles County and the City of Santa Monica (I have lived in that area so I know). Add to that another 40% for rent or more for mortgage and she better be hooking to make ends meet.
I sometimes miss my home (since moving from there to here in Dallas (Irving) 3 months ago), but that place has no place for hard working people.

My son lives in santa monica, he pays more in rent for a 1 bedroom less than 600 square feet built in the 1940’s place than I do for my 3 bedroom full basement colonial here in the peoples democratik republik of michiganstan....beautiful place to live, if you can afford it...
