I need some advice.
I have a very special friend who loves good Scotch. He has everything else, so I thought I might wrap up a good Scotch for Christmas.
I know he'll use this, unlike some worthless gift he won't want (I actually got him a massage for his birthday last sumer and he wouldn't go -- it's a macho thing).
Okay I know this thread is going to raise some silly answers, but I am a beer drinker, and don't know a thing about the "refined" spirits.
Id appreciate any serious answers to my question.
LOL. I’ve tried, but don’t like liquor. Now beer, I love.
LOL. Thanks for the advice, and yes I have one happily married sister.
ROTFL.
I agree.
“My friend liked it so much he named his arab horse after it.”
Aye, that’s a good name for a horse!
You should try it, it’s pretty good.
And it definitely would make a lovely gift, very festive.
On the lighter side - and my late husband's favorite - Glenmorangie.
My local Liquor Store had on display: Macallan Thirty Year, price: One Thousand Dollars, lovely but too rich for my blood.
Laphroaig is *very* good stuff.
Wow - thanks for the warning! And on Laphroig, too. I know there's a big market for those or they wouldn't be out there, but you have to be hard core to drink this stuff on a regular basis. It took 2 years to knock off the Lagavulin - lol!
Cheers!
Aye, that it is. As is Bowmore. Here's another one I've come to enjoy
18 year old Bunnahabhain. Nice. Not so peaty as Laphroaig. Haven't tried the 25 year old.
