Ya know, jaycee, did you ever call that one! He is the youngest one (about 4) and the last to arrive. He and another big orange one showed up about the time my oldest one was passing. (I think she summoned them to make mommy feel better!)
She was always the alpha cat. George moved in and he instantly took over the reins of alpha cat. Any disturbance in the house, he immediately goes to it. If anyone needs nipping, tapping, or corraling, he’s on it! I still can’t believe it, it’s so funny.
To: oldteen
Awwww, thanks!!!
Are the black ones kind of feral? There sure are a lot of black cats out there, either feral colonies or semi-feral. We have one tuxedo kitty, very clean and apparently healthy, he’s been coming by for years to get food, but won’t really let me touch him (only one time).
Awwww about the four though, but too bad they won’t let you close!
It’s so hard, my parents refuse to get any more cats because of the heartache. They dog-sit for my brother, but that’s about it.
To: jaycee
LOL, don’t they though? I just have to take those green blankets away. Sometimes I can’t even find them in that bed, they’re so disguised, living like kings and queens.
To: jaycee
It’s normally chaos when an older pet is tossed in with a young one but some do surprise us.

I have no idea if they're all from the same mother or what as they are 2 and 2 and I see no adult cats around other than the one across the street who is pure white and comes to visit every time I'm out in the front yard.
She seems to need affection, she is so docile, and after she has her white hair all over my pant legs I tell her 'go back home now' and off she goes...lol.

Weinie, I will have to admit that none of us would pass up the opportunity to see Andre Bocelli in concert!
Lonestar, I saw him one night this week on PBS...I think last night. And last year his Christmas show on PBS was out of this world. I’m hoping he will do it again this holiday season! He is wonderful no matter what he sings.

Thank you for the beautiful rose Amy. My BD is over now,but it was a good one. Went to the Ohio Valley Opry to see my son perform. He brought the house down again with his fiddle. I’m so proud of him. Hubby & his brother drove home after the first show. I stayed for the second show and rode home with son. Nice to have time with him all to myself for a change. So It was a wonderful 78th BD.

Peace
December 4, 2011
In the days of Adam and Eve, peace was lost. As soon as they ate the forbidden fruit and realized their nakedness, they started blaming each other (Gen. 3:12-13) and introduced conflict to Gods peaceful planet. Sadly, all of their descendants, including us, have followed their bad example. We blame others for our own bad choices and become angry when no one will accept the guilt. Blaming others for our unhappiness breaks apart families, churches, communities, and nations. We cant make peace because were preoccupied with placing the blame.
Christmas is the season of peace. The Old Testament tells the story of how God set the stage to introduce the Prince of Peace (Isa. 9:6). Jesus came to break the cycle of sin and blame by making peace for us with God through the blood of His cross (Col. 1:20). Instead of blaming us for all the trouble we cause, He bore the blame for all of us. He is now recruiting followers who, having received His forgiveness, want others to receive it as well.
When we accept forgiveness from God, we lose our desire to withhold it from others. And when we live in peace with God, we are eager to make peace with others. We can both give and receive the gift of peace this Christmas.
At Christmastime we celebrate
The coming of the Prince of Peace;
Though now our world is locked in strife,
One day Hell make all conflict cease. Sper

~Welcome To Sunday At Amy's Place~
*** Our Father, we long for the simple beauty of Christmas ~for all the old familiar melodies, words, and symbols that remind us of that great miracle when He who had made all things came one night as a babe, to lie in the crook of a womans arm. But in that longing, let us even more yearn for your renewed presence among us even as we celebrate and expect the Coming of your Son..... May the loving kindness of this Advent Season and the true Spirit of Christmas not only creep into our hearts this season, but there abide, so that not even the return to earthly cares and responsibilities, not all the festivities of our own devising may cause it to creep away weeping. May the joy and spirit of Christmas remain with us now and forever. In the name of Jesus, who came to save His people from their sins, even in that lovely name we pray. Amen. ***
Blessings To All Who Enter Here
