Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich praised President Obama's acceptance speech Thursday before the Nobel Committee in Oslo.
"I thought the speech was actually very good," Gingrich told NPR's The Takeaway.
(snip)
The comments mark the second time in a month that Gingrich has given President Obama's performance a positive nod.

This does not inspire confidence in Gingrich, in spite of his accomplishments.
“You know, theres something sad about a president this ineffective. He sent out an email last night to his supporters that I got a copy of, titled Frustrated. And he explained how frustrated he was. And I thought, there are fourteen million unemployed Americans, there are another eleven million who are either underemployed or dropped out of the work force. And I wish he had some ability to reach beyond himself and think about how frustrated 25 million Americans are with this lack of leadership and lack of effectiveness.”
... Speaker Newt Gingrich
KMA. All this does is demonstrate that Gingrich is fair-minded, which is more than I can say for some of the wild-eyed fanatics on here.
What in hell is the matter with you people, anyway?
PING.

I have to agree. I think there are dimoKKKRAT operatives lurking here on Free Republic.
Ya” think?
;-)
“I thought the speech was actually very good,”
Maybe it was (a good speech). So what?

FLASHBACK 2008, Newt unloads on baloney-spewing interviewer, defends Palin.
KMA? You can GFY!!!
I’m sure you’re trying to make a point, but it isn’t working for me.
This one liner isn’t exactly an endorsement of Obama’s agenda.
Have you paid attention to Newt’s characterization of Obama’s policies?
Do you believe Obama has the courage to debate Newt in a Lincoln/Douglas style debate?
Do you believe Obama is worried about debating Herman?
Hey pal, these “Flashbacks” are getting old.
How about just coming out and telling everyone who you are supporting and why you are supporting him or her. Just make your case and let the chips fall where they may, and quit spamming us with tired re-runs.
My guess is that you are just wild about Ron Paul, but it is easier to criticize anybody and everybody else rather than make a rational case for his drug-decriminalization and isolationist positions.
By the way, while you are at it, how about telling everyone how in the general election you will either vote for Ron Paul or stay home?
Is it some magic in those glued-on eyebrows?
Lol!
(Thanks for posting this and making me chuckle while I wait for my pumpkin pie to finish baking.)

Looks like Ari Fleischer thinks there is time for Perry to move up....as Newt descends. Newt’s pro-amnesty talk will not endear him to the Tea Party.
When you look at all of these debates, is the Republican Party supposed to nominate the most conservative and this year against Barack Obama the biggest outsider.
But whos leading? The biggest established figures Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Who is not getting traction? The one who is taking the toughest, most conservative positions, Rick Perry no-fly zone over Syria, Social Security is a Ponzi scheme, send Congress home, cut their pay. Typical things that are red meat arent working this year.
The biggest thought during the debates, Newt Gingrich, propelled himself back from the depths. It will be a fascinating open primary for Republicans.
Another debate, another good night for Newt. But the trend here is those who have fallen behind are not coming back up so the question is when the music stops, who is going to be in the not-Romney chair? 78 percent are not locked-in. A lot of time to go.

Sorry to disappoint, but I am still undecided. That pretty much rules me out as a bot. Plus, I don’t post nearly often enough to be a bot (some of you guys can fill up an “In Forum” page in a week). Check it out for yourself.
So it appears you aren’t nearly as smart or observant as you think you are.
And I’m not a campaign volunteer either.
As for objectivity, I am objectively objecting to something specific - Persistent spamming with negativity. Geez - three “Flashback 2009...” posts within a 15 minute span is almost enough to put me in a bad mood.
Perhaps you might take up the challenge I offered Rabs, as you call him... tell us who you support and why you support him or her. Don’t be afraid. Just make it positive in tone. Constant negativity and sniping is not going to win anyone over to your posision.
While you are at it, you might also want to point out where I was defensive of anything or anyone.
One final thing...can we assume you are another non-voter in the general election if your candidate doesn’t get the nomination?
Like you and Walrus?
Seriously Walrus, Newt was "fair-minded" to praise a pablum-filled speech by Obama? What the hell are you smoking? Obama's speeches are designed to excite teenage girls and losers who feel guilty for being White.
Newt should have said the truth, that Obama's speech was a bunch of empty meaningless rhetoric. And also that the sorry son of a bitch getting the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE made a mockery of the award.
I pay little or no attention to people I do not trust.
Newt is a Washington insider, a part of the establishment.
I believe that Obama does not want Mr,. Cain to be our nominee, because he knows that Mr. Cain would win the White House.
So Obama had two government workers make false accusations about Herman Cain to hurt him. One of the bimbos had worked for the NRA and was fired, and the other one had a history of making the same false claims against other men after coming on to them herself according to the boss she had at CBS. Raunchy women. Innocent Cain. Period end of story.
Obama’s media picked it up and ran with it. Shameful! Unscrupulous! But that is where we are now in America.
Yes, Herman was libeled.
That doesn’t address his self-inflicted wounds and shortcomings in world affairs.
Aside from what you & I think, his campaign is over and he will withdraw by the end of January.
So you better decide who your next choice is to BEAT OBAMA!
Just what do you think Newt would do as President, that you don’t approve of?
He still has the House & Senate to deal with.
He can’t just impose his will.
