I’d be curious to hear the details of anything she says that conservatives actually disagree with.

She's a great conservative on the issues, and I doubt most people here would disagree with that. But we are talking about choosing a presidential candidate, and Bachmann just doesn't come across well. Again, it takes far more than being right to win elections. If being right were all that counted we wouldn't be 15 trillion in debt and mired in stagnation. It sucks that this is how things work, but human nature is what it is and our candidate has to be able to appeal to the general public on more than just policy.

If I could just appoint a President, Bachmann would be one of my first choices. I know she would stand for the right things, though I am not sure whether she'd be able to lead. But we have to pick a candidate here and she just does not seem to come across well to people. I don't think she could win a general election because I don't think she would represent the cause well enough.

You wouldn't know it from the anti-Beck rhetoric here, but despite his church Glenn Beck is a good guy. And as far as patriotic and willing to take a hit for We the People, you can't get any better on this field than Michelle Bachmann. These are some of the "good guys", FRiends. Hold your fire. Bachmann and Cain (and Santorum) *are* the Tea Party candidates. I won't shoot my FRiends and neighbors in the back by disparaging one of the few that actually have the wants, needs, and desires of patriotic grass roots God fearing America in mind.

Santorum is a severe annoyance. I can’t stand listening to anything he says. He’s like a commercial. I watched the debate online and fast-forwarded past him to the next candidate.

I like Glen Beck and appreciate all that he and his family has sacrificed with the work he does.

Glen has done more to wake up and unify like minded Americans in the last few years than anyone I can remember.

Rooting out the decay in our politicians, government and globally is dangerous work.

Bachmann really understands the crisis this country is in. This is not the time for tweaking or trimming around the edges of the government. We need to take a meat axe to this bloated, dysfunctional, organization that answers to no one. It's taken on a life of itself and will attack anyone who tries to control it.
However, I don't know if it can be restored at this point.

Thanks for that comment - that's very interesting. My $64,000 questions are then (obviously)... did you watch the whole video ? Can you give the quotes that you think do not "come across well" ? And, if it's just mannerisms, style, etc., can you give me some specifics - exactly what is it about her that does not come across well ?

I'm just dying to know specifics on this topic - it's very frustrating that supporters have just all herded up and run away from her. It makes no sense if there are no specifics, you know ? It's like saying "I just don't like her".
