I’d be curious to hear the details of anything she says that conservatives actually disagree with.

She's a great conservative on the issues, and I doubt most people here would disagree with that. But we are talking about choosing a presidential candidate, and Bachmann just doesn't come across well. Again, it takes far more than being right to win elections. If being right were all that counted we wouldn't be 15 trillion in debt and mired in stagnation. It sucks that this is how things work, but human nature is what it is and our candidate has to be able to appeal to the general public on more than just policy.

If I could just appoint a President, Bachmann would be one of my first choices. I know she would stand for the right things, though I am not sure whether she'd be able to lead. But we have to pick a candidate here and she just does not seem to come across well to people. I don't think she could win a general election because I don't think she would represent the cause well enough.

Thanks for that comment - that's very interesting. My $64,000 questions are then (obviously)... did you watch the whole video ? Can you give the quotes that you think do not "come across well" ? And, if it's just mannerisms, style, etc., can you give me some specifics - exactly what is it about her that does not come across well ?

I'm just dying to know specifics on this topic - it's very frustrating that supporters have just all herded up and run away from her. It makes no sense if there are no specifics, you know ? It's like saying "I just don't like her".
