While Newt Gingrich has come out on top (24%) in a new CNN Poll released late Monday afternoon, Herman Cain has begun to show signs of a comeback after allegations of improper behavior set back his campaign earlier in the month.
Mr. Cain has gained 3 points since a November 11-13 CNN poll and now stands at 17%. Mitt Romney, who has not been facing any accusations of scandal or major gaffes, has accelerated his fall in the polls from 26% in late October, to 24% in the November 11-13 poll, to 20% in the current CNN poll. This puts Mr. Cain back within the margin of error with Mr. Romney.

FYI: He said Cain haters, not Cain supporters.
I guess I’m at the point where I think if Cain can pull this out, he will.
What I mean by that is that it looks like he’s established the character and relationship with his supporters to weather true LSM garbage.
That’s a strength of character, indeed.
Now he’s going to have to show that he can keep building support based on what he has to offer the nation as a leader.
Because Newt is the political story of the day, and because he’s the new frontrunner, he is rightly going to be taking up most of the oxygen for a while. That may actually allow Herman a little breathing room to get back to doing the things that made him the previous frontrunner.
Where will that take him? We’ll see.
Thank you for correcting me on that!
icwhatudo: I misread your post. I apologize.
Time for another informative and late-breaking news conference from Gloria Allred and Stifler’s Mom to bring Cain back down to earth.
That’s what I thought he was doing.
In my opinion Cain needs to start selling Cain better, most people don’t have a clue about his impressive list of accomplishments, he has let the media frame him as just the “pizza guy” when he has one of the most amazing resumes I have ever seen.
No problem. Just glad to see Cain coming back after all the BS.
To see going up in this poll (and Romney continuing down) is awesome!
Once Newt gets the “treatment” I think Cain may get back into the lead again.
GREAT point! Maybe a Cain ad asking “Who will YOU hire to manage the world’s largest business? A trained CEO, or just a politician?”
BTW, Cain needs to promote Romney as a decent guy who is worthy to be his Attorney General. Romney is squeaky clean, smart and hungry to do good in the US Federal Government. A good fit for his talents.
Well, he was at 4.5 percent when Perry jumped in.
He’s been all over the map in this race. For those that forget, Perry was at 32, 33 percent. For Gingrich supporters to be saying that there is a ‘strong frontrunner’ now that there guy is ahead, is nonsense.
The man’s weathered worse. Cain’s the best conservative in the race, the choice between Newt is just the same choice we had in McCain, a moderate.
I’m not sure why the people arguing for electibility are supporting Newt. Newt won’t bring in anyone who wasn’t a supporter of McCain, the same folks who backed McCain are the same folks backing Newt.
From this link:
“Also not to be missed in the Purple Poll numbers is this: For all the gnashing about Romneys lack of appeal to the base and the general enthusiasm deficit he faces (his unfavorable ratings continue to increase), just 10 percent of swing state voters say they would definitely not support him.”
Gee wonder why that is?

I think thats gone with his persona and how hes treating, Iowa, which happens to be a swing state. And he wants to win the presidency, which tells me that he lacks judgment, Vander Plaats told reporters. And if he lacks judgment I think people all across America have to say, is he the right candidate?
imo, Romney lacks judgment by ignoring an early-primary state, as well as a swing state, and I feel he is a coward who would not stand up to the Dems. Of course, maybe he would not want to stand up to Dems often times, as he probably agrees with them on many things.
You're right, and Mitt is inching downward at the same time, (sweet).

For example, a poll with a survey size of 1000 was weighted proportionately heavier than an 324 survey size.

As long as the Slickster RINO Romney is sliding in the poll numbers and losing support, I am happy... keep praying.
And look at the astonishing contrast to the current fraudulent affirmative action pResident int he White House. I almost want Herman to be our nominee to see what black voters will do, to see if they are waking up and will walk off the democrat plabtation. I have no doubt Herman could do the job if elected. The only one who sacres me at the table in Iowa this past weekend was Ron Paul ... the man does not comprehend the imminent danger of militant Islam or the peril of the West in this one of our most desperate hours.
Do I hear an "Amen!"?? (Particularly from a non-Cain supporter??) ;-)
Bump! Got your six!
