Bears WIN?

The OU kickoff return team failed to field the ball on the squib kick, and Baylor recoverd it with 5 seconds left in the game.

That was a shame. Oregon is tough but they came up just a bit short.

Much as I hate the pantywaist prima donnas of USC, have to admit Matt Barkley had a great game. But the fact they had to have the Ducks blow a fairly routine field goal in order to win only reinforces my point that a quarterback is overrated as a measure of a team.

He had great protection, better than average receiver corps, and despite a career effort, he only won by luck.

What an incredible, memorable weekend it was (and still is with the Indians Cardinal going at it). Not only is the BCS in an undefined state but the Hypesman is up in the air. With the recent faults of Luck and Weeden exposed, I've got to think that RG3 has to be among those considered. Where would Baylor be without him at the helm?

Was able to watch Iowa State beat OSU and tonight Baylor over OK. Two great games.

The LSU/Ole Miss game may have been boring to many, but I really enjoyed watching that one too.

Looks like Stanford is in control at this point.

Yes, great weekend of college ball.

I’m a Notre Dame dad - USC has been screwing up our seasons for years, so it’s nice to see someone else get the treatment for a change.

The Domers have screwed up plenty of seasons for us Trojans, especially during the 20's, 40's, 50's, and '80's, but the Shillelagh is back home in Heritage Hall, where it belongs.

I love it. Hopefully Arkansas can beat LSU and Georgia wins the SEC. Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State and Auburn beats Alabama and BCS chaos reigns supreme. I do not have a horse in any of this, I’m just hoping for a 16 team playoff in 1-A. It would be a huge money maker for everyone involved.

Sell me on that scheme. I'm honestly undecided about a playoff for CFB. Part of what appeals to me about the admittedly warped BCS system is that every game has meaning all season long. And, I like the buzz and chatter that results from a messy weekend like this. A playoff seems to make everything too tidy, removing all the interesting controversy that results from mayhem.

But like I said, I can see the pros and cons of the way it works now versus the 16 team playoff.
